Now I would totally get this if UNC had no other superior athletes from their school. However, LT one of the greatest football players of all time went there. How the hell do you put a basketball player on the side of their helmet.
I don't know that you could even do that with a football player unless you just put his initials on the side of the helmet. Even then you'd end up with a bunch of clowns thinking it was for LaDanian Tomlinson.
The Jumpman logo of the Jordan Brand is right up front, and even on the side of practice helmets, replacing the regular ol’ Nike logo that was on the gear last year:
the Jordan logo transcends basketball. It's iconic. He went to that school and has one of the top 5 most recognizable American sports logos ever. I'd venture to say it's #4 behind the Nike swoosh, The Yankees interlocking NY, and the Cowboys star. I've got no issues at all.
but the Jumpman is a BRAND logo for Air Jordan, not the symbol of a team. That's why people say it's like putting the Nike swoosh on a helmet -- fine on a jersey or the nape of the helmet but not where the school logo usually goes.
At least it's only for the practice helmets, but I still think it's lame.
Agree if its small on the jersey, there is no problem, but the dam Basketball Player on the Helmet.
Jordan is sponsoring the football team this year for the first time.
Nah, put Deborah Crowder on it
Thats some racist ass shit right there. 😉

Put the swahili translation of Tar Heels on the jerseys.

Haha. Right?
It's those swahili classes that keep the players eligible. Nice little scam they have going on campus.

Haha, probably?
