Trade deadline is next week in my keeper auction league. It's a 14 team 5x5 roto league with 40 man rosters so the waiver wire is bare. Currently tied for 1st, and we are 25 points clear of the 3rd place team.
Proposed trade is my Jordan Montgomery for his Rich Hill. Monty has been good for me but with innings limits and the recent trades, doesn't look like he's got much of a role for the rest of the year. If kept he would cost $6 next year, which is why the other team wants him.
Hill has been strong lately, I need Ws and Ks and he's got good ratios as well (I'm leading in ERA and 3rd in WHIP so he wouldn't hurt me there at all). He could be kept for $10 next year as well.
Feels like a no-brainer to pull the trigger and go for the W this year. Anything I might be missing on Hill where he might lose his spot in the rotation when Kershaw (and others) come back?
