to believe there are only two training camp practices left after today.
Even harder to believe that Giants football is going to be on the tube again in 2 days and that starting this weekend, we'll have football every single week until January. Pre-season or not.. feels like we were just lamenting the loss @ Lambeau or bellyaching over Beckham/OTA's yesterday.
LOL, not exactly the most ringing endorsement for Wheeler from coach. That's okay - he'll get better. Good to hear that he's having a strong camp otherwise.
Have generally been impressed with Chad Wheeler throughout camp. Violent hands. Thinking he earned those first-team snaps #Giants
I am so excited about this kid!
my dream is to have Wheeler and Biz at tackle 2018, cheap OTs so pay Pugh/Richburg and slide Flowers to RG where he can maul defenders in limited space
I'll settle for either youngster developing into a Diehl type contributor ... I'm so glad they played the draft the way they did - Wheeler/Biz have just as much potential as the early round lineman
to Wheeler getting 1st team snaps - this is reality. Shows him what he will be up against and how much he needs to do to play. Plus with likelihood of play Friday night, gives him a reality check.
Good for him. Mo' competition, mo' better
Considering the small investment (a 6, a 7 and a few thousand $)...
...it's a win if they get a swing tackle and a healthy inactive from the combination of Bisnowaty and Wheeler.
For what it's worth, Garrett Bolles and Cam Robinson are likely to start at left tackle for Denver and Jacksonville. Ryan Ramczyk had the edge in New Orleans until he missed a couple of practices this week; he's still expected to replace the injured Armstead at LT. So, the top tackles in the draft appear headed for key roles this year; but no OT drafted after #34 is likely to play much unless injuries create another opening.
Looking forward to seeing the rookie Webb out there.
I feel like at some point, the Giants should keep one of these young kickers and deal with whatever growing pains will come for a season if it means grooming a guy who will be pretty good.

and long term Wheeler has what it takes to be better than them - this draft class sucked I'm so glad they went Engram/Tomlinson rather than reach on OL

The ideal scenario is that Flowers improves dramatically this year but Wheeler forces his way into the lineup at LT moving Flowers to RT where he could dominate. Hart goes to the backup spot with Richburg being re-signed and Bis, Jones, and Dunker battle for the starting LG position. Brett Jones is given a 4 year 6 million extension providing excellent depth along the interior along with Bis and Hart.
Remove that filth from the premises... Let 'em go to Florham Park
Rookie DE Avery Moss suited up for practice. He left yesterday with a shoulder injury.
Don't see WR Tavarres King (ankle) out here. #Giants
Players not spotted at practice: Keenan Robinson, Mark Herzlich, Tavarres King, Shaun Draughn, JT Thomas.

Robert Thomas, Mykkele Thompson, Ryan Murphy and Kevin Snead working on the side
Yes this crazy..its no wonder there's sloppy play the first month of season with this restrictions

Time flies.

Rosas 3-4. Wide right on the last one. Snap looked a bit low. #Giants
LB Keenan Robinson has come outside and is working with a trainer on a side field. So he's progressing through concussion protocol. #Giants
If only they could line up Carton against Collins in the old "nutcracker" drill.
Sterling Shepard doing 7-on-7s, just had a catch. #Giants

Good to see, looks like he has strung together a nice week, hopefully keep building!

Something I'm sure won't be blown out of proportion: Chad Wheeler is getting some first-team reps at LT.

UDFA Chad Wheeler just snuck in for few 1st team snaps at LT in live drills. First play appeared to get beat by Vernon + flagged for holding

Davis Webb got his first 11-11 reps of camp in a two-minute drill. Struggled to move the ball, drive stalled after one first down.

Coach McAdoo: @Davis_Webb5 has gotten enough work and will play Friday night. #GiantsCamp
Sounds like no Eli or Odell on Friday. McAdoo said Webb will play. #Giants
Ben McAdoo admits he wanted to see Wheeler at 1st LT & says he "got beat like a drum" on 1st rep when he held Vernon #GiantsCamp
McAdoo says eli manning having his best camp - cites comp pct and mastery of system
Ben McAdoo said he will treat Friday's game much like last year's preseason opener. Meaning no Eli or Odell, most likely.

As was I. There was one play where Vernon beat him pretty badly which would have likely been a sack.
