Couple pics of Evan Engram TD vs BJ Goodson yesterday

Umenyiora72 : 8/9/2017 10:35 am
Here are my pics of the play Sy'56 mentioned in his camp observations thread. Goodson was actually committing pass interference but Engram was still able to pull it in and bust free for the touchdown.

If interested I have a Instagram account that I post my Giants photos on. @BigBlue_Photo

Engram looks like quite the specimen. I'm really, really excited to see him in action.

Couldn't be more excited to have him on the team. He has star potential, especially given he is going to get single covered a lot by teams' 3-4 best cover guy.
Nice play by both of them....

Engram seems to be the goods, and at least Goodson has his hands in the cookie jar.

Haven't seen too many of our LBs over the past decade that have ever stayed with a TE.

It looks like BJ Goodson was right there step for step. Another star..

TD or an attempted PI?
Good call BJ.

Excited to see Goodson in pretty good coverage. If he can run with him he will be able to do it with all TE's.
Looking forward to seeing both on Friday night!

Engram
annexOPR : 8/9/2017 12:07 pm : link
is going to impacsimilar to Odell's rookie year - maybe not identically stats wise, but he is going to be a force

We are about to witness a specimen who athletically blows away "match up nightmares" at his current position with a skill set on par with some of the games elite WRs

We have AJ Green/Sammy Watkins athleticism at TE ... in single coverage as long as Odell is in blue. I can't wait for these 2 to set the league on fire.
Considering we reached for Engram and Reese was foolish

for drafting a guy the draftniks had rated lower in the first round, maybe he'll be OK after all

Based on the pics
I just feel,

with OBj, Marshall, SS, Engram, and Vereen in the game at the same time, Eli has so many options, which he didn't have last season.....

Man, if this line ever learns to run a screen....
Nice HQ pics.

I have a feeling Engram's going to carve up DAL. Marinelli will focus on OBJ and Marshall outside and take his chances with the rookie.

100+ yards and a TD week 1.

And make no mistake, Eli Manning wanted Engram all along. Just like Beckham who he knew from his LA connection. Manning never misses a snap of Ole Miss football. I'm not saying Mara Tech wouldn't've wanted these guys anyway, but Eli already knew he liked these guys.
nice pics sequence!

Albeit their bodies are screening us from the catch action, EE essentially catches it (in his body) left handed, and is strong enough to wrench free from Goodson's left hand which he leaves in there trying to strip but cannot.

Me too, Arc. I think he's a great draft pick.

i'm still not sure why he dropped to us. Was it the TE label and therefore he was knocked for being "one dimensional"? All is know is the Giants drafted a 230+ pound "weapon" with:

- faster 3-cone than Mike Evans/Dez Bryant
- faster 40 than Hopikins/Green/Evans/Dez
- higher vert than Sammy Watkins

i couldn't care less if he's a "poor blocker" (underrated and willing from what i've seen), that's why Ellison was paid. By all accounts it sounds like he will be lining up all over the field - and how is any defender matching up with him?

Yeah, it is pretty crazy when you think about it. Pundits were fixated on the fact that EE was a smallish TE, without taking into account what a matchup nightmare he would be. In 11, 12 or even 13 personnel packages, how are defenses going to match up against him?

I watch the first round with my dad every year ... after the selection

Him: "Are we happy? Who's he like?"
Me: "Nodody we've ever seen before."

I can't f'ing wait.
nice pictures!

I know we haven't played real football yet -- but I've been watching him closely for two weeks now - and Engram's playmaking abilities and speed leap right out at you at camp!

I have a feeling he will make us Giants fans very happy come game time.

Agree. Engram had already worked out with Eli. A QB knows right away what a guy has when he throws to him, especially with no OL or pass rush because then you get to see his speed, cuts and hands.

Same reason Odell Beckham "fell" to 9th overall. Some teams do better at school than others.

I didn't know anything about Engram. But once the pick was made and you looked at the production and the video, the idea that David Njoku is a better pick does not add up.

Factoring all of the WRs that went early ... I have to think GMs got stuck on him being an "undersized TE"

His knock on blocking is also greatly exaggerated
