The rookies not named Engram. I want to see how some of the later picks and UDFA's do. Who is this years Okwara?? How will Gallman look running the ball? Chad Wheeler's chance to shine?
Other than the running game. Sure, I hope Webb looks okay, along with some of the second/third team TEs and WRs. but with no Eli or OBJ I doubt we'll get a fair assessment of the passing game. I figure we'll see a little of the first-team O-Line, though, and I hope they run-block a lot better than they did last year. Same for the back-ups who should see some time.
On defense and special teams, I'll be looking at the guys fighting for roster spots, and hopefully we'll get a good look at Rosas, too.
in preseason games this year than I normally am and I think that is because of the great reporting from Gidie and Sy, so I am really looking forward to the game tomorrow night. The daily write ups by Sy make me feel like I'm there and now I want to see in action what he and Gidie have been seeing at camp. I'm also now rooting for some players on the bubble and am excited to see what they can do in a real game.
I have been trying to temper my excitement and enthusiasm for this season so as not to get my hopes up too high but it's been hard. Sept. 10th can't get here fast enough!
I don't want to see Eli,OBJ,Marshall,Shepard,Snacks,JPP,OV,Jenkins,DRC,or Collins. I would play those guys a quarter in the next game, a half in game three, and then see them again against Dallas.
2) Does Travis Rudolph have a shot? Does he play much? Is he targeted? Can he help on special teams?
3) Which rookies look good on special teams?
4) Who plays fullback, and how much?
The only three rookies I really care about are Rudolph, Shane Smith and Tomlinson. I think Engram will be fine -- maybe really good -- but we'll eventually see him as a receiver much much more than in-line. And I don't think we'll see much of Webb until next preseason.

+1. I love Sy's daily write-ups and Gidie's coverage. I want to see how Pinkins plays and how he fares in TE / RB coverage. Interested to see how Spags uses him. Versatility at S and LB + specials could be a very useful guy. I hope he gets a long look.
2nd/3rd OL groups can hold up. The coaches need to to be able to properly evaluate the rest of the skill position players, specifically the backup qbs.
I feel as though last year, the OL backups were so bad that it didnt really give Nassib and the rest of the skill players a chance to showcase their talents.
Giants definitely have a toss up on QB2, and most likely solidified QB3.
1. Safe to assume Webb plays 4th quarter?
2. Any reason, or has it ever happened, that Geno and Josh take every other drive so they are evaluated against similar defenses?
Excited to see:
-Engram in action (first look for me)
-Darian Thompson at safety
Will be focusing on;
-Does Perkins perform well at RB?
-BJ Goodson defending at middle linebacker
-Rhett Ellison giving Eli time with some effective blocking
Coach said that Webb is getting snaps tomorrow
Can EE block (because if he can't then that will limit his time on the field)
The backup QB Situation.

Goodson. Engram. Secondary
Coach said that Webb is getting snaps tomorrow

Looking forward to see Engram and Gallman, and what Goodson does in the middle....
For those who might miss it Friday night, it is being replayed on Sat at 5 PM.....
Same here. I'm going to the early show, so I plan on watching when I get back home.
Of course it's hard to watch them that closely in a preseason game, when we're not expecting the Steelers to open up the passing game in a big way
* Line play (on both sides of the ball)
*. Fullback play (especially Smith)
*. Khalid Abdullah (HB from James Madison
