If there is one team I am happy we don't have to face, it's these guys. They did a number on us both times last year. Time was we had their number but now they are the superior team. Obviously though I was happy they knocked out Dallas.
But they have made eight straight playoffs with five division titles. Yet somehow in the last six years have not made it to one Super Bowl - and this with Aaron Rodgers as the QB!
I believe these guys would be the NFC version of the Pats except they haven't been for some reason. But no NFC team has been a contender for a longer period of time. Instead they are the NFC version of the Steelers.
I have little fear of the Packers or anyone for that matter
Giants lack of big game experience showed up.
No surprise that Eli looked the most composed & ready to play out there.
DRC injury hurt.
WR Unit went from wearing boots on boats a week before to wearing clown shoes on the field a week later. Still hard to wrap my head around whatever happened there. Parades are for after the game, boys.
Packers are a good team & it was their field.
When the Pats lost Brady they win. When they lose their backup they still win.
Packers without Rodgers? They're the Jaguars. Not the Patriots.
That's not to say the giants aren't capable of lighting up Green Bay but they need to execute first.

Just citing what happened that first half. I have every reason to believe (unprovable of course) that if DRC stayed healthy, we'd have beaten them or lost in a close one, despite the severe deflating of the Hail Mary..Yes, you are what your record/score says you are, but that's what I firmly believe..
That first half ass iicking reminded me of what we did to Brady nearly the entire SB XLII

I just like to punish myself.
My point was that the Pack have been a really good championship-caliber team and yet not even advanced to the Bowl the last six years with Rodgers. Obviously it's the defense and other issues but it's just hard to believe. We all know Belichick would get them to the Bow once or twice in that span.
Packer defense last year was their weak spot. They were atrocious. I'm pretty confident the Giants now have the weapons to beat the Pack anytime anywhere. No fear.
I'd be happy if you just stooped to the level of being an infrequent poster, but alas, we don't always get what we want.
I'd rather you didn't thank me and just either learn how to lead some decent football discussion or just shut the fuck up
A lot of posters here have gold medals in mental gymnastics.

Insults? Me?
And your post is basically a "If my Aunt had a cock, she'd be my Uncle." Ok. What's you're fuckin point?

Is scoring tds and/or finishing drives. Giants didn't do this in January.

Stop with the DRC excuse already. The Packer receivers were pretty beat up going into that game and two of them got knocked out of the game. Our "ass kicking" of Rodgers resulted in a 7-6 deficit in the second quarter.
I'm not referring to the score. We slapped the shit out of Rodgers. He admitted as much. The hail Mary got him out of his funk (he admitted that as well) and put us into one. He said after that Hail Mary, we weren't the same team. He could see how the air went out of us..This is all HIM talking not me..Whether you want to hear it or not, the DRC injury was an absolute killer. As to their injured, Eli had his way with their D, but our receivers incliding OBJ kept the Packers in the game..The juggernaut in the 4th was abot all things collapsing..That's what happened..The end result? The final score? They wound up kicking OUR ass

My take on the 2016 giants is that they were a good but not great team. Every great team has flaws but we had too many flaws last year. Good team that could play great at times but not great enough for long enough stretches. To borrow a poker analogy the 2016 Giants didn't have enough "outs." They put the packers on notice last January for 30 minutes but that was the Giants best and they still trailed at halftime. If that was 2011 the giants would have held a ten point lead. It wasn't.
Giants need to grow and mature and field a better team in 2017. They had to play close to perfect in order to win last year, turnovers and all. Not enough outs. I believe the 2017 Giants will be better. They will have more margin for error and field a team that can tilt the field with more ease. 2016 offense had one bad ass player and one good one. The D was close to great but needed one more year of seasoning.
I really think there's a storm brewing here but we still need things to come together first.

Rather fair points
This offense was broke all season.....If not for Eli to OBj, what did we really have?
2. The Packers front office rarely does what the Giants have done the last 2 years and that is fill in holes with free agents. Yes the Packers signed Martellus this offseason, but they rarely do that and rely much more solely on their drafts.

I see no comparison to GB and the Pats Rogers is special thats a given but last years Giants were a flawed team we
kept waiting for the offenes to come to life it never did
The hail mary took the wind out of our sales losing DRC
enhanced that because he could help with the blitz
with no JPP we couldn't stop them the defense finally
gave way . Brady is Brady but the Pats and little Bill
just keep interchanging parts and rolling along in a
weak division . Phins are a bit better but they already
lost there QB Bills and Jests are in proverbial rebuild
Hell they could probably win the division without
Brady . Not saying win the SB
