This apparently wasn’t the first time former CBS Sports sportswriter Ethan Skolnick beat up his father, but an attack Wednesday prompted his mother to call the cops.
Skolnick was arrested Wednesday morning at his parents’ home in Boca Raton, Fla., after his mother, Shelly, called 911 to report her son was punching her 70-year-old husband, Louis, in the face and arm, the police said.
Ethan Skolnick, 44, was charged with one count of battery on a person 65 years of age or over, according to the Miami Herald, and taken into custody at the Palm Beach County Jail.
Officers entered the Skolnicks’ home around 11 a.m. to find Louis with a bloodied nose and a ripped shirt, according to the police report.
“He beat him up,” Skelly reportedly yelled when the officers showed up, adding that Ethan “went nuts” after Boca Raton officers left their home following a visit earlier that morning.
