Bobby Humphrey's Earpad : 8/11/2017 5:09 pm
Heading down to Ocean City for a few days for the first time. This dry town stuff is for the birds.

Looking for a few recommendations for restaurants / and activities for small children (under 5). Will be staying in the 16th-17th street area.

Any rec's appreciated.

The dry town thing isn't bad, plenty of alcohol just over the town borders and to be honest bars full of drunk tourists can be all kinds of annoying. Check out Fractured Prune for really good donuts. Mikes Seafood at 55th and West is a decent shack type place. Hobby Horse at 8th and Ocean has great ice cream. We usually go to nearby towns like Avalon or Sea Isle for dinner out. Fish Alley in Sea Isle has a bunch of good dinner spots right on the bay like Carmens, The Lobster Loft, and a bigger version of Mikes.
A must..

is Kohr Brothers frozen custard. They are the originators of frozen custard, and they are still awesome. Piccini Pizza is awesome, but I think Guy Fieri went there a couple years ago so it is always slammed now. Best sandwich is at Voltaco's.

We always take one night and do the boardwalk and eat our way up and down it. A slice of Manco and Manco pizza, the custard, caramel corn at Johnson's and fudge at Shriver's. The rest of teh time we usually cook in or go to Sea Isle or Avalon for dinner.
Fancy dinner for you and your wife

Took my daughter and nephew before - about an hour and a half on the water, cheesy but young kids loved it.The Boardwalk has many rides for young kids. Chatterbox is a longtime family friendly restaurant. Lots of themed miniature golf on the board walk. On Thursday nights they have "family night" which will have different themes in music for all types of family members.
