Playing basketball. You're running and plant to cut. Mini-explosion occurs in the bottom of your heel.
Not Achilles. Not the arch. Just the heel.
Limped around yesterday/last night. This morning, can't put any weight on it.
No need for "don't ask BBI, ask a doctor." Not a pro athlete, and it's the heel fercrisakes. Lol
Thanks for any insight.

And ice, plenty of ice!!!
Since I've had it, the best thing you could do is proper stretching. Not just for sports and physical activity, but ordinary getting around.
You need good, supportive shoes. You may need orthotics. If you're overweight, losing weight will help. And lots of stretching -- tightness of the ligaments running through your foot is the core problem.
Gently at first.
But when it flares up... ice. elevation and you can try an anti-inflammatory drug if you are able to take it.
Should feel better in a few days. Stay off the basketball court for atleast 2 weeks after all and any symptoms subside.
Could be a week, could be a year. Key is to manage it NOW.
Good luck.
Unkind and unwelcome remark. This part of the board is NFT, as you may have noticed.

Lighten up, Francis. It is Larry and Beez. You have been registered long enough to recognize their banter.

Sorry. You're right. Unfamiliar with both. Aging brain . . . .
