So this will be a good test for our front seven. I don't think we will have issues but it will be good to see how Goodson does and it would be nice if we can generate a pass rush with just our front 4. Also, it would be nice to see Bromley build on his success.
On offense we all know it starts with the OL so this will be a good stepping stone if they play well. If not then the questions will hold more weight.
follow their usual preseason tradition or Mac brings over the Packers preseason philosophy, you won't get much of a sense what the offense plans to do or how they will perform.
To call both teams vanilla in their approach to offense would actually be less boring than it really is.

I believe 2 to 3 starters on this rebuilt line are injured and will not play tonight.

but I hope Perkins shows a little burst tonight. Also looking forward to seeing Munson out there, considering what we've read so far. I'm going to watch Tomlinson when he's in there as well...he was really active last game.

Okay, but even a vanilla offense should be able to generate an adequate running game if the blocking is there and the backs are able to capitalize on it. That's really the only thing I'll be looking for...any kind of a push by the O-Line to get the run game going. I'm more worried about that than I am about their pass-blocking (but not by much).
A couple of thoughts here, the offense is trying to walk before they run therefore the dink and dunk, quick offense is used frequently. Take what the defense gives you..... With the Oline being suspect we still don't have the luxury to go down field. Add in a running game that scares no one and its all quick passes and draw plays. Until the line improves and a running game is established look for more of the same with a few shots down field hoping the WR crew burns them.
I'd to see him look sharp in limited time. I don't want to see 3rd and longs or three and outs against the Browns. I want to see him on the same page with his WRs.
Yes its probably too early to expect all that, but its either this game or the next. Game 4 doesn't count. I dont want to go into opening night with questions about the improvements on offense.

Are we going to be one dimensional again this year or not? That's what I'm looking out for.
I hope they keep the FB I have very little confidence in our run game . Without it the points per game will not
improve and with this schedule it will be a tall order to
even win the division .

If they rang up 40 points a game for the next three games, it would still just be preseason. Not many questions get answered right now.
If they rang up 40 points/game for the next 3 games Â
was about as bad a game a group of O-lineman and Tight Ends could have in recent memory.
The Offense though came out pretty strong for the first 3 regular season games in 2016. They didnt have the ball for that much time vs Dallas but moved it fine when they did. They also had the offense going vs New Orleans and Washington but just kept turning it over.
From there, things started to deteriorate. Both Jennings and Vereen were out with injuries, and defenses were picking on OBJ to take him out of his game. And I think Eli felt he had nobody to rely on b/c Cruz was useless, and he started looking at the rush coming more and more.
Then it really became hit or miss, as McAdoo got conservative to stay in games as he knew the defense started peaking. The O-line was madly inconsistent but simply never developed individually or as a unit.
He isn't in the running for anything other than a practice arm My God how many years has this guy been in the NFL and
come out and play that poorly it's not like anyone is chomping at the bit to pick this guy up .
It's a total waste to even put him in the game IMO .
This 1st half should show a great deal in terms of if this
O-line has improved . Browns got some guys that should test
them . I wish Danny Shelton was playing and it will be interesting to see Myles Garrett play and how Flowers does
against him even though he is just a rookie .
anything either way, but after 3 years I'd like to see ANY f#cking sign (sorry for the language) that this offense is effective. Play well in a meaningless game. I don't care. I just want a sign we can be productive.
show some offense with the first team out there, see if folks are on the same page. Would be nice to run the ball a bit.
I would like this team to find a KR and punt returner,
don't want to see another year of the beat up Harris.
He is already it seems spending more time not practicing,
than practicing in training camp and preseason.
One can say, they are 'saving' him for the season...
I maintain, he is a guy who has a beat up body
from many years of playing special teams, even well before
he arrived here. You saw his lack of speed last season,
and quickness. Maybe he can prove me wrong.

My view at least...
Googs hits target - I would add that last year the problem on offense was turnovers. Bad play by OL contributed to turnovers. Turnovers cause defeat. Scaling back offense limits turnovers and limits offense.

good take on last season
It really started from unable to consistantly/at all run the ball
On offense we all know it starts with the OL so this will be a good stepping stone if they play well. If not then the questions will hold more weight.
Most throws?
I'm curious how much we see of Lacosse too
I don't believe you will get this answer until the real bullets fly.
And a bunch of defensive ends. Should be interesting to see how it plays out.

Really? That stinks.
Reverse psychology..I like it.

chris r, is that you??
It's a joke he's still on the roster ... give Eli a quarter - geno a quarter , Webb the 2nd half
Definitely. As well as the head coach and head coordinators.
NO INJURIES....
Aldrick Ross kickoffs
More Darian Thompson
RT @art_stapleton: @Giants announce Josh Johnson is starting at QB. No Eli Manning, DRC or JPP. Waiting on full list.

On defense it's mostly about depth players.
Always want to see something out of the bubble players.

That was last weeks tweet before the game against the steelers

I would like to see the offense move this year and get some swag even if it is pre-season.
With Collins playing, he could only pick up 3 since you can only get one tackle per play.

Or at least some plays from under center ...
all types of runs, outside zones, traps, what have you.
run, run, run, run, run
let the OL boys start to feel it
