test for OL, unfortunately, i think they will fail miserably. i would love to have a Stud LT like joe thomas....actually an average one would be nice! get it together flowers!!!
the game plan to be vanilla. That doesn't mean, though, that guys still can't make plays. I want to see the OL beat their man and play as a unit. Seeing runs get stuffed in the backfield or Eli getting swarmed is not excuseable because of a vanilla game plan.
Executing 1-on-1 matchups is a good indication of the individual readiness. Getting your ass kicked by the guy in front of you doesn't bode well for future success.
If the Giants come out vanilla and the Browns are throwing the whole playbook, I get that. I'm not worried about Spags and Mac's ability to gameplan.
But plenty of guys who have been individually in pre-season have brought the suck come September.

I don't think the game plan will be completely vanilla -- it won't be very sophisticated, but the Giants will be experimenting with formations and situations where they are looking to make improvements -- they were doing it all camp and they did it in the first game too
-- we were told by our interviewee's (if you watched our interviews) that they were doing film study of the opposition and their tendencies
look for two TE formations, draw play formations, 11 personnel, and empty backfield
look for timing plays, running plays to all sides (straight and pulling) and the center with the FB, screens, seam passes, short yardage plays and green zone strategy -- 2 minute and 4 minute drives, long FG opps
Aldrick Ross kickoffs
More Darian Thompson
Who is Aldrick Ross?
Do you think they will show their hand during week 2 of preseason?

I would think so. But I assume that means that they want a long look at both, so Webb might not play much.
I say Eli fumbles the handoff and pitchforks and touches come out....MOB RULES on BBI
