Tanaka vs Perez...

Since there were no takers and B in ALB would whine about no thread, I'll preempt the bitching...
What a total ass

Never make the third out at third base. Fraser still playing Little League
Judge gets umped yet again

Ok 4-0 top

2nd. Frazier probably with a $25 fine for being thrown out at third on a Sanchez base hit to fairly shallow left. Truly a case of WTF was he thinking...

Should probably say thrown out about 15 feet from 3rd. Beyond bad base running.
4 spot is nice

let's score 20.

Hope Tanaka smooths out. Seems to be fighting his motion...

a foul ball and next pitch is an rbi double. Would have been a good catch, a bit difficult at the wall, but still catch-able.
I'll surprised if Tanaka
section125 : 9/8/2017 9:17 pm : link
makes 5 innings with a lead. He is just not throwing right.
Man what are they playing on asphalt?
Stu11 : 9/8/2017 9:20 pm : link
Seems like every Rangers groundball is bouncing around like a superball. Shame we used Green in a 9-1 game yesterday. I think this will be a game we could have used him tonight.

Amazing, isn't it. Warren on the 10 DL(?), so Jamie Garcia is the long relief or Mitchell?
Watched Tanaka a little tonight.
Giant John : 9/8/2017 9:47 pm : link
Looks like he is short arming the ball. Can't get a full free motion. Hoe does Girardi not see this? He is not right.
Why are Gardner and Frazier
section125 : 9/8/2017 9:53 pm : link
playing so far off the line? Three times Gardner had to run about 100 yards for a ball in the corner...

Stuck with Tanaka way too long and wasted Green yesterday. Awful managing.

I've noticed this a ton lately Gardy has to run a mile to the line even when big righties are up.

Hitting like crap doesn't give you a spot in the lineup.

Didn't waste Green yesterday. After Betances screwed that game Tuesday he wasn't taking chances and these guys need work.

But I agree he waited too long on Tanaka. He had two good innings and struggled in 3.

Yep even John and Susan said it on the radio yesterday. If you have pitchers on your roster that you don't trust up 8-1 in the 6th why in the hell are they on your roster?

They were hitting Tanaka hard, so no reason to play toward LC.

Sorry, citing Suzyn and Jahwwn won't win you an argument. If these guys are not used, they get rusty and sloppy.

Sorry but my point is even those 2 idiots can see it. If you think Green "needs work" after pitching 2+ innings on Monday I don't know what to tell you. It was idiotic to use him yesterday and it could very well cost them this game.
It was a joke yesterday bringing Green in
xman : 9/8/2017 10:18 pm : link
with a 7 run lead. What is the thinking? Now Green is unavailable for at least 2 days.

And don't think Chappy is out of the woods as I saw trumbo turn on a fastball and crush it down the 3rd baseline but Frasier was able to snag it. But my guess is that Joe will march out Chappy as the closer since Betances shit the bed. Unfortunately I think Chappy will do likewise to the bed
Tanaka is so up and down.

He wouldn't be coming in until Tanaka blew it anyway, so no it was not going cost them the game today.

Just have to figure we disagree.

I'd bet if it was anybody else but Tanaka, he would have been pulled after the 2nd hit.

Yep I love this team but its just one of those years. For weeks our SP's were lights out and we had trouble scoring 2 runs. Now they're blowing 5 and 6 run leads.
This team has become very hard to watch
BlueHurricane : 9/8/2017 10:30 pm : link
Pitchers can't hold leads and hitters can't put games out of reach.
At least this happened:

They put two games out of reach in Baltimore and three over the weekend against Boston. I think they're playing fine right now, offense is getting hot, just have had two poor starts from CC and Tanaka when they've gotten big leads.
Thanks for the info

Out a few weeks

Not to repeat myself too much, but it can't be overstated how bad it is to use Chad Green in an 8 run game, and Caleb Smith and Heller in a 2 run game. Brutal managing
