The writer stares with glassy eyes —
Defies the empty page,
His beard is white, his face is lined
And streaked with tears of rage.
Great drummer - but I hate Rush

Yesterday I found a YouTube clip of his voice over narroration segments from The Necromancer pitch corrected. I was in a Caress Of Steel mood that day
happy birthday to a master

drummer and lyricist. Some faves of mine:

Some will sell their dreams for small desires
Or lose the race to rats
Get caught in ticking traps
....
But the winter fell upon them
And it caught them unprepared
Bringing wolves and cold starvation
And the hearts of men despaired…
...
Living in a fish eye lens
Caught in the camera eye
I have no heart to lie
I can't pretend a stranger
Is a long-awaited friend
Happy Birthday Prof!

Unfortunately the dream is done! I knew when he came out from behind the kit at the last show in LA 2 years ago to take a bow, that was it. Listening to him speak on the documentary afterwards confirmed it. Sadly, he's done. Though what I wouldn't give to live it all again...

I'm still clinging to hope that he'll want to play enough at some point to make some new music. I don't have hope that they will ever play live again. However, I was brought up to believe :)

I would love to, but I don't see it happening for this one. Too many other permission slips already requested.
