From what I've seen, any outrage is warranted. As a Giants fan I am angry at the quality of play on offense. We all look forward to these games and they are almost unwatchable, they really are. Boring as boring could be. Is it really so bad to be fed up with it, even if you don't personally agree?
Look at Evan Engram - we thought he'd be used creatively? By McAdoo? He's faster than A.J. Green so we've got him trap blocking NTs and running 2 yard square outs. Brilliant. The draft was deep in TE's - did we really need this guy in the 1st round (over OL help) to replace Tye's 2-yard square outs?
I think any outrage is warranted. It's all on the table, and the evidence is mounting that Mr. McAdoo is completely over his head. Never been an Offensive Coordinator at any level. Never been a Head Coach at any level. He has zero credibility. Can anybody point to any tangible evidence that this guy has any freaking clue how to run a good offense?
Just one fan's opinion who was disgusted by the lack of progress on O.

He was the OC here for two years.
I can't really argue about anything else you said. Esp about Engram. I agree.
Here we were told that the OL would be better and Marshall was going to be great and Engram was going to be a nightmare to cover and Perkins was going to shine ..... and then .... thud. Nothing.
It's like expecting a game system for Christmas and all you get is a package of underwear.
We all look forward to these games and they are almost unwatchable, they really are. Boring as boring could be.
Oddly enough, that's among my biggest gripes too. It's just so damn boring! I'm a Warriors fan -- I was able to tolerate years of awful records when they were compiled by teams who were at least fun to watch. Obviously I'd like the Giants to be both fun to watch and excellent. If I can only have one of the two, it would be excellent. But a terrible AND boring team is a terrifying thought, and I hope we haven't sunk to that depth just yet.
If you ignore the top 20% (optimists/apologists) and the bottom 20% (extreme negative), I actually think there has been a bunch of pretty healthy debate about the state of things.
This place has a section of unreasonable pessimists that are throwing away the season after one game, and a section of unreasonable optimists who think the problems the offense had the past few years will just magically evaporate. When you ignore those two fringes you see fans that have legit concerns and are thinking about reasonable ways to address them.
The problem is that the people in those fringe groups don't realize they are the fringe.
we just don't have enough good old-fashioned fascism in the world. These metrosexual kids today are too plugged into the interwebs, Mario Cart and their talking GPS machines. So long as BBI part of the world, we need to step-up and teach these snowflakes about crushing opinions we dont' like through public shaming.
Thanks for raising the banner Gidie... Anyone who steps out of line, shows emotion and passion should be dealt with swiftly and decisively.

Hey Bama -- a little sensitive eh! I don;t see any threads or comments out there being deleted - aren't I allowed to express a witty take on things?
I have some good friends, whose intellect I respect, saying things that are shocking. Truly shocking.

I agree. I've found a lot of interesting, informative posts this week.
I still believe in this team. The defense isn't as great as many think and the offense isn't as lousy as many think. The only thing I'm rethinking based on Sunday night is Brandon Marshall's potential impact. But perhaps the return of OBJ will make a world of difference in how Marshall is treated by defenses.
has been big this week so far. I know his threads get few comments, but they can help steer the discussion in other threads. I have tried to check out a lot of the sites and haven't seen much interesting stuff, but just the same - we need the distraction good football writing can bring and nobody delivers it to BBI better than Defenderdawg.
I did read this more than once on this blog. I guess there are people on this site that are ex -players and coaches who are good at evaluating talent and understand schemes etc. If you read every website during the summer everyone has high expectations for their team. I have followed this team for over 60 years and am just a fan but my gut told me that if we did not improve the OL and get a stud RB this offense would continue to struggle. Well Reese, did not address any of this and we got a look at the new version of the offense Sunday night. Also according to many people on this site our HC does not know how to run this offense and his OC is worse. So there you have it and up next we have Lions on MNF where we historically have not played well. Stay tuned if you can bear to watch.

This ... "unwatchable" is the operative word so far.
something like:
Whatever happens on BBI stays on BBI?

1 game does not a season make
Ha! Plenty of leaping and no speed lines
