If he can play, he should play. We shouldn't be saving him for later. We need to win this football game.
Agreed. This game isn't a gimme anyway. Detroit can rush te passer and they have enough weapons on offense to make some noise. I think we are the better team but they aren't the Jets.

I have a good feeling about this week. I can't imagine the offense is going to look that bad twice in a row. Not to mention, we've been performing better at home lately, much more than I ever remember us doing.
i don't think Odell will play. With that high ankle sprain
Good to see we've got some more internet doctors here who know he could have played last week or that he needs 3 more... good stuff.
Hm.

I'd be very surprised if Beckham doesn't suit up in Arlington. He'll be out there.

Unless Beckham was a high-ankle, which I don't believe I've read anywhere, I'd be quite surprised if he was still too sore to go in close to 3 weeks' time.
It was pretty clearly my opinion that he would play. I didn't make definitive medical claims or say after the fact that he could have played. Nor am I sitting here saying he still needs "X" amount of time before he can play again.
I thought he would be out there based on the fact that he wasn't in a walking boot after it happened and was able to walk on it - which usually isn't the case with high-ankle sprains.
I was over-optimistic and also wrong. No problem admitting that.
But I'm not sitting here saying he could have played as if I'm privy to medical information or examined him myself. If he didn't play, I'm pretty sure it means he wasn't cleared.
I'm also not saying he needs a specific amount of time before he can play. Why would anyone here know that?
when he is really, really, really sure he can go. I thought you were supposed to play every game to prove how valuable you are but I was wrong. OBJ is special. He enhances his value by not playing and watching his team struggle.
No hurry OBJ - we have a swift TE now running two yard crossing patterns.
Then he will play by the sounds of the interview he was pushing to play . I agree with Arc that the odds are better that he does play . I think he has to practice a full go and see how he feels the next day . Playing Monday gives him and extra day . Not sure about the practice routine the last heavy practice before the game will tell the story I think.
doesnt matter as Eli will be running for his life.
I think this is a game we win regardless of if he plays.
Give the guy an extra week, and break him out in Philly.
I'd like to agree but the Detroit DL is a cause for concern, They're solid inside with Ngata and Robinson and I can see Ansah giving Hart or his replacement fits. To make a timely analogy, he's gonna answer his uber eats delivery shirtless and not tip. Slay and Whitehead can play too. I'd argue it's a better D than Dallas, and this O made them look like the Steel Curtain.
On the plus side, I watched the Cards-Lions game and Jarrad Davis was picked on big time in coverage. The middle of the field should be wide open if they can give Eli a few seconds. It could be Engrams coming out party.

Never too late to start working on that point differential. What are we at right now -16? Gotta pick that up

Were you saying that last year? How about Eli play better too?

Well, at least he switched off from raving about how handsome Beckham is.

The famous easy win. We have a poor offense and can easily afford to lose our one weapon that has an impact.
There is no easy win in the NFL. Any given Sunday and parity are much more than slogans.
....says the dipshit troll talking about Laremy Tunsil's grade in a week where he didn't even play football.

incredible and we missed on him.
Pray tell, was it the practice field where he graded out as the best OL this week, or...?

Holy crap have you seen this offense without him whenever he misses a game the past few seasons? We need him back bad.
