Q: Three teams have come back from down 0-3 to make the playoffs, what makes you feel like you guys can be one of those teams too?
A: One day at a time. It starts by coming in and we know we lost the game, but we got to move on from it and it starts in practice. I feel like we are going to come out and do great in practice this week. Coach McAdoo said some words to us and he really don’t have to say no words to us. You can just feel the energy, the vibe around us. Everybody is just really soaking it in and getting ready for the next game.
Q: Improvement is nice, but aren’t you past that point? You need wins.
A: That’s what you got to start with, you know? When you write a story, you got to get your facts right, right? So, we got to get our facts right on the field. So, that’s what it is.
Q: What was your reaction to Odell’s (Beckham) celebration? And what is your reaction to your owner’s reaction?
A: He’s the owner. This is his team. Whatever he says goes. Odell is a great player. The reality is football is going to be played football, man. He is going to go out there and do his thing, but at the end of the day, that is between him and the owner.
Q: How much does it hurt the team’s momentum when you get a penalty like that?
A: I feel like we got a lot of penalties. Me personally, I don’t feel like it was that penalty that hurt the game. You can’t put it on one guy because that is not what lost us the game. At the end of the day, that’s what he chose to do, but at the end of the day, that is not what lost us the game.
Q: Your rush defense has not been good as a club.
A: We know that, we definitely know that. We gave up almost 200 yards in rushing. That’s something that we are not proud of. I am definitely not proud of. We are going to fix it. We are going to get it better. So, like I said, it ain’t no panic, we are not panicking. The fans can’t play for us, the media can’t play for us, the only person that can play for us is us. So, we are not panicking. So, at the end of the day, it’s all about the team.
Q: Is it significant to have the coach pull all of you guys together to have a pep talk?
A: Coach McAdoo is our head coach and he is going to do whatever he can to keep the team together and he’s been doing a tremendous job keeping the team together. The team that we have now is not the team that’s been in preseason. That’s not the team that actually came out in preseason and played. Our defense is not the same defense. Our offense is not the same offense. At the end of the day, we got to get it right here first. So, we are going to get it right here and hopefully go on Sunday and win this game.
Q: Did you feel like after he had the chat with you guys that there was a good response from the team?
A: Way before the talk you could look in and you can tell the guys that walked in today weren’t very happy with what happened today, but they soaked in it. Everybody watched the film already. We had a whole day to watch the film at home and we know what we need to do. I know what I need to do. I need to play even more harder to try to get to that next level.

The DL isn't the problem but the team needs him to be a playmaker on defense right now. That's what he's paid to be. Setting the edge vs the run and causing a little pressure isn't good enough. We don't have the LBs to make the plays he potentially sets up.
No, but they do have someone who will very shortly be making very big money, if he keeps it up. Lawrence is the goods.
