The umps original call was Pedroia was tagged for 3rd out before run crossed home. Upon review, the runner hit the plate just before the tag on Pedroia
And yes it is strange...Yanks chances against the Sox are far better than against the Astros. But not much point thinking on that until we see if we can compete with the Indians.
- Leon singles to right-center with runners on 1st & 2nd
- Pedroia tries to go 1st to 3rd with 2 outs and gets thrown out by a mile ending the inning
- HP ump says Moreland didn't score before Pedroia was called out
- Replay is EXTREMELY close, so close that there's no way it could be ruled indisputable either way
- Replays umps overturn it anyway and Sox get their first run of the game
Who knows... maybe the indisputable thing only applies to football and not baseball replays.
Go Sox. I'd love to play them in the ALCS if we get there.
Screw that. And screw Boston. I want them out. Asap. Sure a ALCS against them would be fun, but the worst case scenario of them going to the Workd Series is not worth it. Go Houston

You sold me. Fuck them.
Watching Sale getting smacked around is just delightful
I know I can't be the only Yankee fan to want yet another NY v. Boston ALCS. Cleveland v Houston or NYY v Houston just doesn't have the same epic feel to it.
Our Ace gets chased in a third of an inning and our bullpen shuts it down for 8 2/3. Their ace gets beaten like a rented mule and they have no one to go to.
Will say it again:
John Farrell is the Sox opponents best weapon.
He must have mismanaged 25 games this past season but got bailed out anyway on 7-8. Sox should have won the Division early and let Sale skip a few starts as he was tiring since mid July instead ofbeing forced to pitch in hopes of keeping Yanks out of first.
If its any other teams I'd love it to be Cleveland and Arizona so Boston management can chew on the fact they had both managers and screw up twice.
Lesson one of BBI - ignore Stan.
That's completely horseshit.
Then he had two subpar starts vs NY where he gave up four and three runs respectively.
Once again, Stanley shows how much of an absolute idiot he is.
That's completely horseshit.
Overturned on account of outstanding grittiness.

Sox tie game on Devers sac fly.

Hope Judge is watching!

Speaking of bums. You didn't nail anything.

It was a joke, dingleberry. You sure nailed the Yankees ALDS rotation, huh?
LOL
Only in Stan's world is a guy likely to be CYA runner up considered a bum.
Stan is a moron, example #642...
