cheering Sevvy to that third out all by myself in my living room. Then I gave him my own solo standing ovation.

Kid showed a ton of guts and poise tonight things coulda gotten weird in that 4th. He settled down beautifully. And I still didnt think he had his best control. I doubt we see him look scared if we start him in a big game again.

why is he offering on a 2-0 count on a pitch he cannot hit, where they would have walked him if it goes 3-0? He has lost his plate discipline again. For a kid with great talent he almost doesn't understand the count and situation.
Good news is by next season he will have it ironed out.
