needs to go...a do nothing player making far too much money. Give him to somebody else.
If that is true, why would anyone trade for him?
It's a great idea to dump players for picks when you are rebuilding, but you generally aren't getting anything beyond 6th and 7th round picks which usually don't amount to anything.
If someone is looking, by all means get what you can. But if you are looking to lock down a bunch of 2nd and 3rd round picks, there is nobody on this roster that is going to pull that.
This team should not sell the good talent on the team for pennies on the dollar like the Jets....some of you on BBI are out of control acting like the talent on this team is similar to the jets or browns....get the hell outta here....
Acting like the Giants are doomed for several years of failure like you think of franchises like the Jets and Browns....this team can be good again in 2018 jesus

He's probably not on the roster next year regardless and a lot of good teams with playoff aspirations are desperate at corner. We may actually get some value.
Outside of him, there isn't anybody that we can or should move. JPP talk is silly given that he just signed for 40m guaranteed.

You mean the Jets who have 3 wins???
I knew someone would bring up that trash....You know damn well they aren't a good team nor will have any kind of prolonged success...Giants have a lot more talent on the team than teams like the Jets. Poor coaching and deficiencies at several bigtime positions like OL are what is the downfall of this team. It's incredible that some people on BBI think the Giants are now the Knicks....
It won't happen, but could trade Eli to the Jags for at least a 1st and a 2nd, maybe two 1st rounders. With our own great picks due to the shitty season, that gets a cheap QB and 2 Olinemen to start turning it around.

The Jags would never do that even if Eli was proven to be Coughlin's biological son.
Well i guess we can put to bed the argument of who the Â
Eli on the Jags would turn them into an instant SB contender. They would get 2-3 years of good QB play added to a team that is really good. Plus, they are a perfect fit for his skill set. Power running team. Bigger problem is I see no one taking JPP. You couldn’t have traded him prior to the season due to his inconsistency , injury history which includes back surgery and his ludicrous price tag. As a physician who actually deals with bad backs and injuries, his back is every bit the concern of his hand. As far as his hand, if he was working on a loading dock I would actually give him a sizeable impairment rating. Honestly it would be appropriate to give him an impairment rating as a professional football player. It definitely hinders his ability to do his job. Want to get nauseous? His cap hit next year is 22 Million dollars!
Eli has a non Trade clause in his contract. He plans to play for only one team and retire as a giant. Don’t know how many times this has been said since he signed his last contract, yet people still think the giants can just trade him to whoever.

.
A 1st and a 2nd, maybe two first rounders?? What?
That won't happen in the NFL world, not happening.
He's on the field and we play well and he can only play a few series at a time before he gets hurt or needs a break. Is he aging that fast? We looked great while he started this week and once he left the game we started giving up big plays. Very frustrating and idk if he's worth the money next season

Exactly! It would be amazing if everyone who wanted to complain could actually apply some logic to their suggestions. Or maybe spend some time learning about the salary cap instead of just flying off with half-baked ideas.
The Manning family doesn't leave money on the table. And besides, the only way to reduce his cap hit is either to extend him or to alter the bonus/salary structure which would increase the cap hit in 2019 by whatever amount it was lowered in 2018.
The only way Eli's cap hit will be reduced in 2018 will be if it's dead money instead of salary. I'm not advocating for that, just pointing out the reality.
Who would you trade? Who would be your trading partners? Â

What do you think we can get for JPP right now? Your best guess?
If we got a 6th rounder for him and turned it into another Bisnowaty or J. Adams was it really worth it?
Can't hurt to have more picks. Why keep players who are not making a difference..

He only has two years left which makes a contract adjustment problematic numbers wise and the Giants will have 25/30 mil for FA as it is.

He's done that exactly ONCE in his entire career.
