The weather is starting to finally cool down, fall is in the air, the parade of holidays is coming up fast and we have no Giants football to go with any of it.
A tell tale sign of a team mailing it in is guys not toughing it out. And yes, I recognize I'm not an NFL player, but most of these guys will admit they're never 100%.
no problem with it

Let's see what the depth can do. At this point it is about seeing what you have moving forward.
We basically have nothing after the starters....I don't see any of them stepping up to be starter material, outside of Gallman(who is just a best of a bad bunch scenario).....
But, after this loss, I think it's time to answer questions on Perkins, every OLman, and flirt with different OL combinations, and of course, giving Webb some playing time....
in the driveway and told him he might have to suit up for the Giants this weekend. At dinner he finishes up, turns to me, and with a total straight face asks, "are we going to play it again sports now?" "For what?" "To get football pads so I can play for the Giants this weekend."
on offense out. If this had happened a couple of weeks ago Ben and Jerry would have gotten passes for 2017. But since we were 0-4 while we were relatively healthy this shouldn't save them.
Not in the least. The wheels came off last week and with our top WRs out for the year, our 2nd best DB now on hiatus and seemingly MacAdoo losing the team already, I don't see one game we can realistically win.

I wasn't sure, but I put the ceiling on this team at 2 wins, with no realistic thought on how they would even get there.
I don't care about 11-5 last year either. The state of this team, injuries or not is so bad, I want Reese, McAdoo, and the entire coaching staff fired. They had a terrible offense last year, had a terrible camp/pre-season, made some interesting personnel moves, still have one of the 5 worst OLs in the league, have an overrated DC (in my opinion), continue to have ST mishaps week after week, continue to have costly penalties and the least opportune times, and now seem to have no respect for the coach. There is not one person from GM down to the lowest level coach that should be retained. We need a new GM from outside the organization to come in and hire his own HC, run the draft, and hire a new coaching staff.
to have any chance in this game. I thought Okwara was hurt too? JPP needs to start earning his pay check, but unfortunately, I do not see any help for him on the other side.
shouldn't be possible but at the same time I am starting to see such major divides and issues within the team that finding any wins on the schedule is not easy. If Eli gets hurt we are done for. If we lose Pugh or Harrison we are done for.
What I would like to see is a change in philosophy in general. Come out in a jumbo set:
Run , Run and run again.. Mix up and do quick play action to a TE, run end arounds with Engram (ala Kelce in KC), send two TE's out into the pattern.... Play big and just try and not get Eli killed.

Ah, fatherhood. That, right there, is what it's all about.

What a kick in the nuts.
What the hell happened with that guy?
What a f*cking shi*show of a season.
Heads better role after this garbage.

JPP is even worse. Cutting/trading him next offseason creates an additional 5 in dead money. So they lose money cutting bait.

i'm legitimately concerned that if they don't beat the Niners it's a distinct possibility. Niners could win that game too.
Eli and Engram could light up a game or two...the D could play hard for one full game...but man...where is this team getting a win?
I've never seen a team fall so far so fast! It's amazing....this season truly is one to behold.
Turned this team,
Into ice cream,
And now it's melting.
Oh ye of little faith ;-(
Best part of the season is coming, even with Giants not competing there are good games to look forward to.
Being a front runner must suck
What I would like to see is a change in philosophy in general. Come out in a jumbo set:
QB-Manning
RB- Gallman
TE- Engram
TE- Ellison
TE- Adams
LT-Flowers
LG- Pugh
C-Jone
RG-Fluker
RT-Hart
WR- Lewis
Run , Run and run again.. Mix up and do quick play action to a TE, run end arounds with Engram (ala Kelce in KC), send two TE's out into the pattern.... Play big and just try and not get Eli killed.
Whats Gettis doing these days?

What?
After last year, Vernon deserves the benefit of the doubt.
