Q: Is Head Coach Ben McAdoo’s message of ‘nobody gives us a chance’ something that the team can draw energy from?
A: I can speak for myself, as far at that, I’m going to go out there and have the best game I want to have. I’m pretty sure some of my teammates are going to do the same thing too. Coming in here, everybody’s minds are on the same thing when you’re trying to get a W. At this point, we don’t care how we do it. We still take coaching, we’re still going to take criticism and we’re just going to fight, we’re just going to keep on fighting.
Q: What do you think it will take to win this week against Denver?
A: That’s why we play this game of football, we’re going to go out there and give it our best shot. That’s why we play this game. Anything can happen on Sunday, especially Sunday night.
Q: What have you seen in practice, as far as effort and mood?
A: I see guys running around. Not normally do I pay attention to offense, but it looked like those guys are running around out there. Young guys, but at this point, anything can happen. We lost all of our receivers, basically, and they’ve just got to step up. This is the moment that I’m pretty sure they’ve been waiting for their entire life, this is why you play the game, to be able to showcase your talent. So, I think those guys are ready to showcase their talent and they’ve got an opportunity to go out there and all. Everybody that’s a starter right now had to go out on the situation they had to play in and the coaches had to trust them. So, those guys have a high spirit, they’ve got their heads up high right now and I’m pretty sure they’re going to go out and do what they need to do. As far as the offensive side of the ball.
Q: Has McAdoo spoken to the team yet about the Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie situation?
A: He addressed it, but I’m pretty sure DRC and him worked it out and whatever happened, happened.
Q: So McAdoo did address it?
A: Yeah, he addressed it today.
Q: What kind of feeling did you get after McAdoo addressed the team?
A: I don’t even know what happened. I just don’t know what happened. As far as I know, he’ll be back next week. It’s football, man. We’re going to roll with the troops that we’ve got here and we’re going to win or lose the football game, depending on how much effort we give. But I’m pretty sure everybody is going to give a tremendous effort and it’s going to come down to the mental errors of the game and stuff like that. I think if we do a pretty good job of executing our play call, we’ll be fine.
Q: Did McAdoo tell the team that Rodgers-Cromartie will be back next week?
A: I’m not on that DRC situation anymore.
