Source: #Giants CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is back. His suspension is over and he’ll rejoin the team.
Cockrell could not cover Sanders in the slot. Denver was stupid for not going there all game.
Let's not get carried away brother. This was the first game that Apple looked good. Can we see it consistently first?
but the Duggan snap count article this morning said that after Cockrell struggled in the slot, Deayon was brought in and played the majority of the snaps there.
I really only saw Deayon in on a couple of plays during the regular broadcast. For a secondary defender that's usually a good thing. And his snap count was higher than Cockrell's.
Will be interesting to see if Deayon gets to keep his spot on the roster after Sunday night's performance. He seems to have won the slot nickel position.

Apple played well but he also got away with a few early contact plays that given a different ref crew may have screwed us a couple times.
Our defense is much better with DRC.
This. People want to point to the "good" game Eli had, but there were quite a few plays that he should have been called on. If it were a different crew, they might have indeed been called and we would be lamenting the shitty play of Eli. A couple of them Eli walks away from the play wagging his finger as if he has the swagger of a shut-down corner. And I was thinking that he was lucky that he wasn't called for a penalty.

Jackrabbit does a lot more grabbing, clutching and shoving (especially) and rarely gets called.
To say a different crew might have called things differently is not a good point. That kind of DB play goes on all the time - see Seattle's CBs play. Apple was tight this week. He was in position to make plays and did so.

Same is true for Jenkins. Most of these guys pull and grab and could get called on any one play. Remember when JJ got called for that PI on Dez. That happens every play.
They suspend him "indefinitely" and then bring him back a few days later. How do you gain the respect of the locker room with that action. I had doubts about the suspension to start; but they need to stand by their decisions to be respected.

They won without him, and had their best defensive game of the season. It would be a bad look if they lost the game and removed the suspension because they really missed his ability. As it stands, the point made itself. They should now move past this.
This is a positive thing for the defense. We don't know what was said behind closed doors. We do know that Defense played excellent NFL football with who was on the field.
Having DRC join whatever led to that should help not hurt.
That said let's not start patting anyone on the back after 1 win. Enjoy it sure, but we're still in the lowest echelon of NFL teams right now. Let's try for 1 in a row.
Like we don't have enough things to fix on the field... Â

JERRY: Well, it doesn't sound like you completely thought this through.
GEORGE: [sighs] What should I do?
JERRY: Maybe you can just go back.
GEORGE: Go back?
JERRY: Yeah. Pretend like it never happened.
GEORGE: You mean just walk into the staff meeting on Monday morning like it
never happened?
JERRY: Sure. You're an emotional person. People don't take you seriously.
GEORGE: Just..go back. Pretend the whole thing never happened.
JERRY: Never happened.
GEORGE: I was just blowin' off a little steam. So what?
JERRY: So what? You're entitled.
GEORGE: I'm emotional.
JERRY: That's right. You're emotional.
GEORGE: Never happened.

He had been playing much better before he got hurt, maybe he just needs some time.
Please enlighten us as to what in the fuck the following statement means...
"Berhe is afraid of concussion protocol".
I hope to God that Engrish is your second language.
DRC is the slot corner, Cockrell being coached up to back him up.
Maybe his antics have been cancerous to the complementary football all along and subtracting him helped propel them to victory.
It would have about as much validity as the nonsense some won't let go about the WRs/Odell.

Yeah - just saw that. Guess they liked the ability Deayon has to play the slot better than the Hunter/Cockrell solution.
Lmao...
He gained respect in that locker room, anyone who has played sports should understand the dynamics that played out this week.
This was a good week for MacAdoo
