Here we go ladies. Huge game this afternoon. Absolutely huge. Win and it's all tied up. Lose and the Yankees are playing the elimination game.
Great call by Mr. Shock with the Romine insertion. He'll be behind the dish for Gray and Sanchez will DH. I like it. Here's the pitching matchup - no lineup out for Houston yet - but it's time to get it the fuck on.
Man, and I thought the football gamethreads were bad. Sheesh!
Please, please, PLEASE beat Keuchel. So sick of that guy.
Very impressive- using the whole field- sitting on curve balls early in the count.
If they apply that tomorrow, I see them scoring some runs.
also - that appeared to be a hit-and-run on Gary's double, with Did running from first - if that was Girardi's call, it was a good one.

Credit where due - pinch hitting Headley worked like a charm, he came through (barely avoiding a major screw up when he fell down going to second, but still)

Yup great point
Thanks!!

You're on a streak. Going for the trifecta?
I bet they loved it! Hehehehe
Without internet access, hopefully?
That said...
If the Yankees can steal a win against either one of them, I like their chances in a Game 7.

Agreed, they really seem to love and really get emotional about this thumbs down gig..
Reminds me of #Allin Giants 2011 on roids

Just huge fricken stones on them. I just might have to make the 2 hour trek to the Bronx tomorrow and cheer them on against the bearded douche

And I will be the first to admit I was not a fan of bringing Frazier and his .207 batting average here. Man was I wrong. "Thumbs down"
You are on a roll. Denny is in the on deck circle. I'd stay the course, but that is one vote. Just cannot have RP start it..;->
You know what reminds me the most of Jeter: How his individual futility never shows up on his face and therefore never affects the team. You cannot tell if this guy is on a streak of 10 hrs in 10 games or has struck out 20 times in the playoffs. All he cares about is winning. He and Didi carry that same attitude and it fosters that never say die attitude that Jeter had. How can Sanchez get down on himself when he sees Judge constantly moving forward. That's true leadership.
You end up with the Astros, and how they have no holes in their lineup, so the bullpen is going to be front and center early and often. Instead - the starting pitching has been phenomenal.
I very much agree with the overall tone of your text but find it somewhat ironic that you note that he can run and has a very high baseball IQ after last nights game
They have critics complaining about Judge's K's, Sanchez's D and Joe's use of challenges or bullpen selection. And each time Judge gets a ball at his ankles called a strike or a ball 4 inches off the plate, he trudges back to the dugout without saying a word. When Sanchez has a passed ball, the guys in the booth rip him, but he shrugs it off (and I won't even mention that Romine had the only ever catcher's interference and it cost them a lead).
This team doesn't get down - they just band together. When they blow a lead at cleveland and are on the brink of elimination - they win. And they do it without being the hated team Yankees of the past were.
I'm thoroughly enjoying them, especially Frazier. Guy just looks like he enjoys the moment. Tough to tell because we're constantly looking at shots of Altuve, but hey - that's OK.
Like I sad, I agree just found it ironic
