I've recently seen discussion topics posted on here posed in Reddit, on Yahoo and other, similar websites. My question is, are people stealing topic ideas from here? Or are people on here stealing from those articles written? Really no definite answer, but was wondering what y'all think/seen.
And if you want to know what fans are passionate about in the moment, you might check a team's discussion board and see what's hot. I don't think that's stealing, that's simply market research.
If there's a rash of car break-ins in my neighborhood, I know it'll show up on a local FB community group or reddit before the morning news. It's just how it is.
Very mixed feelings about Mcadoo

1. I don't think there's any real issue about his ability to be the leader of this team. I give him credit on that front for last year's run and I give him credit on that front for this win. He does seem to do a good job motivating the team and I don't think there's an issue with losing his players. His tough guy act with the press is stupid...as is his hair....but I care zero percent about either of those things.
2. I'm not trying to look for negatives out of a positive win, but I did have this nagging feeling last night that the game perfectly highlighted some of the frustrations I've had with his stubbornness this season and how things could have gone differently if some changes were made sooner. Handed over play calling, heavily featured Engram, Darkwa/Gallman as the lead backs, OL configuration that many have been calling for since camp...and the results were great. So credit to him for making the changes...but also, why did it take until week 6? Same feeling I had when they started going more quick release/no huddle in Philly. Why didn't we do these (seemingly obvious tactics to mitigate OL struggles) sooner (as in LAST SEASON)? This is why I'm more open to the idea of him staying on as coach IF HE'S FIRED HIMSELF AS OC. Many of my biggest gripes with him are about how he has performed as the OC. If that's no longer on the table, I'm a lot less concerned about him as a coach.
3. Just as I didn't fully credit him for the performance of the D last year, I think its only fair not to fully criticize him for the performance of the D this year. This team is really constructed to play close games and win with the D. Thus, that unit, to me, is really the biggest culprit so far this season. They've had the lead or a close game handed to them in almost every game this season and failed to stop the opponent (until last night). They've been bullied in the run game and can't get off the field on third downs. So those things make it hard to fully evaluate how Mcadoo is doing because those are things I just don't think he could fully anticipate/control.
Overall, I'll be ok if they bring him back...but, like I said, I don't want to see him calling plays again.
Linked below is Duggan's article titled "Giants' win over Broncos raises 7 'what if' questions"
The 7 what ifs?
1. Sullivan as play caller
2. Darkwa at RB
3. Pugh at RT
4. Fluker at RG
5. Ellison playing more
6. Jones at center
7. Defense flying around (and makes note of the fact that they had blown fourth quarter leads in 3 straight games heading into Sunday).
Pretty close. Nothing I said was groundbreaking...and like I said....probably very common thoughts for anyone following the team closely. But it did make me wonder.
Duggan Article - ( New Window )
If something doesn't change soon, opposing players will be stealing CAGE designs from our players and that's where we have to draw the line.
The second best thing they can do is debunk crappy ideas that fans get. They can expose us for being outsiders with less football knowledge than we think we have by running our ideas past the coaches/players/scouts/executives for comments and excellent insights. These kinds of articles are great as well.
I'm not saying they do this enough. They too get caught up in storylines that are clickbait instead of good journalism. But by reading what the fans post, they can do a great job of informing/teaching us about the game and team we all love.

Have you read some of the ideas that go for threads on here lately?
A reporter isn't required to debunk a stupid thread. Just a second grade education.

True, but even if you filter out the worst threads (which I feel capable of doing) there are still lots of hotly debated ideas which can be addressed.
