The refs are letting Howard mug Porzingis
dpinzow : 11/7/2017 9:41 pm : link
Terrible officiating
The fuck are these refs watching?
bigbluehoya : 11/7/2017 9:41 pm : link
.
Howard has literally fouled himself out
dpinzow : 11/7/2017 9:42 pm : link
and the refs haven't called much on him
These refs are fucking assholes. Howard outright shoved KP
PhiPsi125 : 11/7/2017 9:42 pm : link
to the ground with no call. And Howard has been mugging him all quarter.
They finally call Howard for something
dpinzow : 11/7/2017 9:43 pm : link
and KP will get 2 free throws to tie. Took a forearm shiver in the back for them to finally call something
Wow
JoeMoney19 : 11/7/2017 9:44 pm : link
KP is amazing.
Lol, ice cold!
PhiPsi125 : 11/7/2017 9:45 pm : link
KP is just not human.
KP with a 3!
yatqb : 11/7/2017 9:45 pm : link
.
Porzingis hits a 3 right in Howard's face
dpinzow : 11/7/2017 9:45 pm : link
The Garden is insane right now
.
arcarsenal : 11/7/2017 9:45 pm : link
Porzi is absolutely untouchable right now. Holy shit.

Guy is playing as well as anyone in this league.
This is fun
SFGFNCGiantsFan : 11/7/2017 9:45 pm : link
!
The offensive rebounds
JoeMoney19 : 11/7/2017 9:46 pm : link
continue to kill the Knicks.

Who'd have thought McBuckets and Thomas would be out there for crunch time.
Kemnah has been pulling the same move night. Swing under the
PhiPsi125 : 11/7/2017 9:47 pm : link
basket to the open man in the corner. Have to adjust.
About time
JoeMoney19 : 11/7/2017 9:49 pm : link
that doesn't go in for Walker against us. That was so nearly deja vu.
Ditch the PnR
bigbluehoya : 11/7/2017 9:49 pm : link
And let KP go iso on Howard.

If they help, kick it out.

I had a bad Ewing flashback there.
bceagle05 : 11/7/2017 9:51 pm : link
Finish this!
The Knicks used 23.99 seconds of that 24 second shot clock
dpinzow : 11/7/2017 9:51 pm : link
to get the Unicorn that layup
.
arcarsenal : 11/7/2017 9:52 pm : link
First time I've been pumped about the Knicks since 2013 - this is way better because a young superstar is at the heart of it all.
Great defense to force the turnover!!!
dpinzow : 11/7/2017 9:54 pm : link
Will be reviewed but I think it went off Kemba
Monk's shooting finally came down to earth this quarter
JoeMoney19 : 11/7/2017 9:54 pm : link
another great game for the Knicks.
Keep smiling
bigbluehoya : 11/7/2017 9:56 pm : link
Dwight Howard
Once again a come from behind win.
yatqb : 11/7/2017 9:57 pm : link
This team continues to surprise!
I really assumed
JoeMoney19 : 11/7/2017 9:57 pm : link
4th quarter defense would be why the Knicks would LOSE many close games this season. This has been a pleasant total surprise.
Sweet victory!
bceagle05 : 11/7/2017 9:58 pm : link
Monk's big "statement game" sure fizzled out. Enjoy anonymity in Charlotte, Malik! And Dwight is still a clown.
29 assists
xman : 11/7/2017 9:58 pm : link
nice
Didn't think they had the energy to pull this one out.
bceagle05 : 11/7/2017 9:59 pm : link
A lot of character with this group.
Nice win!
Sean : 11/7/2017 9:59 pm : link
6-4
This is crazy!!!
Beezer : 11/7/2017 10:00 pm : link
6-1!!!

2013 team was way unlikable to me. This is the most excited I’ve been since 2004 when they finally ended their playoff drought.
Love that Jeff has trusted Frank
Beezer : 11/7/2017 10:01 pm : link
in the fourth quarter both of these last two comeback wins. So good to see!
The way they played for three quarters, the Knicks had no
PhiPsi125 : 11/7/2017 10:03 pm : link
business winning this game. They continue to surprise for and expected lottery team. KP is not only excelling at the game but his confidence and leadership is a breath of fresh are. This team is growing before our eyes.
they still incur the first quarter deficits but
Del Shofner : 11/7/2017 10:04 pm : link
they are reliable in fighting back late ...
Another great win!
mfsd : 11/7/2017 10:04 pm : link
Several of our astute posters here predicted Charlotte would give us trouble on the boards...their guards would be tough to contain...Howard would be a handful...and all proved true

And yet, the Knicks had the chops to tighten up on defense in the 4th, shoot their way back into the game, and put them away, despite a couple weak possessions late.

Nkitilina’s 4th Q on offense was a mixed bag, but he brought his A game on defense again.

Great job by KP to overcome Howard essentially playing football against him down the stretch, and step out to drill the dagger 3 to put us ahead

4-1 homestand against some good teams...time to see if they can pull out games like this on the road
Hope we see a lot of Willy and Dotson tomorrow.
bceagle05 : 11/7/2017 10:05 pm : link
There'll be some tired legs in Orlando.

In retrospect, maybe - but that season was fun while it was going on. It was an old team so there wasn't the "hope for the future" aspect, but there were some really good games that year.

We were hinging on too many old guys like Kidd, Wallace, KMart, Camby, etc, but that team won more games than any other Knick team had since 1997. It was enjoyable at the time.

This is much better because of Porzingis and the way the team is playing in general. No more watching Melo spend half the game playing iso ball.
Why do the refs
moespree : 11/7/2017 10:07 pm : link
Allow Dwight Howard to get away with what he does? The guy isn't even liked by anyone in the league and plays like this every game no matter the opponent. He doesn't actually play defense or box out. He just throws people out of the way. Plus I'm willing to bet he throws at least 4 or 5 cheap shots a game into your lower back.
Has KP missed a shot in crunch time this year yet?
Tesla : 11/7/2017 10:07 pm : link
On top of everything else he's so damn clutch! And his 4th quarter defense has been ridiculous the last two nights....guys don't even think about shooting when they get close to the rim.
Kp is a stud
DennyInDenville : 11/7/2017 10:08 pm : link
Frank is the real deal..

Very exciting
Another worthy effort from Lance Thomas too
mfsd : 11/7/2017 10:38 pm : link
+18, 3-3 from the field, 2-2 from the line
3 unsung hereos who stepped up huge
LawrenceTaylor56 : 11/7/2017 10:39 pm : link
McDermott
Lance Thomas
KOQ

You have Noah on this team since Game 1
LawrenceTaylor56 : 11/7/2017 10:40 pm : link
this team isn't 6-4 right now, in my opinion.

I think he's gonna be the most hated man on this team within a few days.
Lance in small doses is fine.
bceagle05 : 11/7/2017 10:40 pm : link
These past couple of years he's been our sixth man, which is ludicrous.
Saw this on RealGM and had to share...

I kinda believe in Jeff. I don’t think he will let Noah wreck the chem. I think he’ll give Noah a leash and time. But not unlimited in either regard.
If Noah plays like he did last year he really has little role
yatqb : 11/7/2017 11:27 pm : link
on this team. He couldn't play defense last year, and his offensive game is horrendous. He can pass out of the post, but I don't think that is enough for him to deserve to take minutes away from Kanter or KOQ.

And on one third-quarter possession, KP had what appeared to be a open look at a 3 from the top. But he dished into the left corner to a MORE open Lee. Now, Lee missed the open 3. But right there was a indicator.

KP has learned plenty, including NOT to emulate Melo’s “me” game.
an indicator *
