it's heartless, it shows a tremendous lack of pride...BUT I get it... If I'm a legit NFL talent making some serious cash/about to make some serious cash...I can see why players might wait for someone else to make that tackle since they're playing for nothing...
I hope the new GM and coaching staff take a look at all of this film and learn from them. There are some people on this team who can't be depended on when the going gets rough. This crappy attitude needs to be fixed as much as the talent needs a refresh.
I called out JPP on that play , and the play that was run, two downs prior to this.....on both plays, JPP never touched the Ram that ran to his side....I mean, you can see, he wasn't even blocked, as the Tackle was not driving him backwards, he just took himself out of the play........the play two downs before, was worse than this effort...
Like I asked, how much money are we paying this guy?
and seeing it like that you cannot tell me they didn't quit.. Acting like :"whaaaaat happened" is akin to I thought you were going to get it. No, I thought you had it... Because NOBODY wanted it!
You know that got me thinking about something. A lot has changed on this board but many folks have been a round for awhile. Some here know that I have a large blended family (9 kids all together between the two of us, 4 of the kids are my wife's daughters who were adopted out of the foster care system.) Anywho, one of my wife's daughter's si a handful when it comes to school work. In fact, she puts a TON of effort appearing to be working... Reading stuff, writing things down, checking notes etc.. But, what it actually turns out to being is she was just wasting time looking busy, looking like she was working hard so she didn't have to do the actual work. It is dumb, because you waste a lot of time you could be doing something else but it does give the appearance of working hard at first.
That is what I see here. Guys making it look like they are trying hard.. I mean over commit here, run fast to the wrong spot there.... Sure, they gave effort and were aggressive but just out of place..... Yeah, that's it... It's not that they were just trying to appear like they were giving an effort. If I am a D linemen and I am locked up with an OT and really showing aggressive moves and physical play but never get off the block, did I really try to or found it easier to stay locked up with this guy and avoid the extra hits and possible pains of being in the pile or getting hit by another blocker???
Don't worry . You have JPP for 2 more years due to his contract. But I'm so happy he is a Giant for life. More front office incompetence. All of my Giant friend fans and I were begging for him not to be resigned. We need 2 young DE's in the draft, among a half dozen other needs.
I like the other video too - the one on the TD pass where Woods Â
was wide open running across the endzone. Again it looks like Apple, with possibly Thompson, were completely clueless. They ended up triple-teaming Cooper Kupp instead, LOL.
At every level...Top down.
Player friendly ownership...'Family'-oriented atmosphere. Slow to move.
With all due respect to the Mara family: Like father..like son.
DE in the 3/4 defense it’s time the Gmen get out of the 4/3 business and load up on linebackers you got snacks on the nose ......Cowboys changed no problem ..... too hard to find the prototypical DE anymore !!!!!!
