nothing he can say would make any ounce of a difference.
I've been saying the same thing you just said, but this one is a bit much. He really should be saying something like "We're going to prepare as best we can for Sunday", coachspeak things like that.
Talking about going on a run when you're 1-7 and the team clearly quit on you last week is beyond delusional.
Team quits on the field, and the coach follows it up with we have a run in us. Self inflicted problems for Ben. He could have said anything but that. He could have even "umm...." and this time it would have worked.
Agreed. But if the jackass was ever going to say he sees a run in this group, he’s not saying it during Dallas or Philly week. He’s gonna say it leading up to the winless Niners.
Very true, the way the 7-3 finish in 2013 did nothing but lower their draft position.
Yes, draft position most definitely. But also, anyone’s job being potentially saved at this point would be just awful. Anything short of a complete house-cleaning would be a lost opportunity. Just my opinion, obviously, but I feel strongly about it’s
it will be that sprint for the exits at the end of the 16th game of the season. They will be running as fast as they can to get out of town and forget this horrible season.
I don't think much of McAdoo as a head coach, but what he is doing is trying to instill a positive attitude in the team. Have you ever heard a motivational speaker at a corporate meeting? That's what he sounds like. It's not bad even if you and I know it's a bunch of BS.
Here's his quote:

Talked about let’s begin again. That was really the message for them. Don’t buy into the lies. The lies that your feelings are telling you. This thing is not about feelings. It’s a decision and let’s make the decision to begin again. We talked about, you know, you may think I’m a little bit out there, but I believe we have a run in us. I believe to the core we have a run in us. We have to be hungry. We have to get our football right. We have to be disciplined. Be where we’re supposed to be when we’re supposed to be there. Do it as well as we possibly can and do it all the time

I agree with this.
I think people are confusing who McAdoo is really talking to. He's not trying to convince the fans the team has a run in them. He's sticking his neck out to, in some way, light a fire under his team. If McAdoo has any chance of saving his job, it will be by showing the owners that he can guide team from 1-7 to a respectable record. If he somehow did that, it wouldn't matter much what the fans thought.
was involved in the Midwest Gay Club Scene with Rodgers back in the day and Mara is waiting for the lawyers to make sure firing him won't involve a lawsuit.
:D
I almost went there... glad to see you stepped up to the plate.
He said he believes the Giants give people the runs.

It would be the worst possible scenario.

There are many things he can say... that shouldn't be one of them.
Good one ghost!!
I ain't shitting.
Boggles my mind.

He'd have been fired at 2PM today if it wasn't for his supposedly effective begging techniques......
That's what my agent contacts tell me.
Ha ha
Just win the next game, work your asses off to get better
