I think we all agree, yesterday was rock bottom for a proud franchise. Seeing John Mara pacing in his suite told us everything about the current state of the franchise. Here are the big questions-
1. QB- I’d like to see Eli play out his contract with whoever we draft sit behind him in 2018.
2. OBJ- this is unpopular, but I wouldn’t sign him long term. He is a tremendous talent, but not worth the headache. He has been clearly treated differently with a different set of rules than everyone else. So much drama & it leaves teammates answering questions about his behavior. We need to get back to winning in the trenches.
3. GM/HC- I’ve seen a lot of articles vouching for Piolo/McDaniels which I’d like. But, I can see John Mara playing it safe with someone like Mike Smith.
4. I’d expect 70-75 percent turnover on this roster.
Trust them to, hopefully, make the right calls on Eli, the OL, our top 3 pick, whether to be hard on Beckham after his bullshit, roster turnover/building.
It’s going to be impossible to turn over 75% of the roster. The “normal” amount in a typical offseason is roughly 25-30%. It’s going to take multiple offseasons to dig ourselves out of this mostly Jerry Reese dug ditch.

4. find a LT
5. replace JPP and/or Vernon
Our defense doesn't lack talent. I just think that after carrying the team last year, they weren't up for doing that again this year.

Jenkins and Apple are mailing it in, and it will be clear on tape. I think they should be traded. They are talented, and their replacements will more than likely be less so, but a message has to be sent.
Trading JPP cost's the GMEN 5 million in additional space. I think that needs to happen too. I doubt you get much for him at his contract

I'd hope they bring in a new GM with a different philosphy on how to build a team. A little less emphasis on corner/WR with a little more on Oline/LB

Alex Smith is wayyyyyyy better than Eli.
if thats an option, I'd do it.
With Alex, we'd get way less interceptions and fumbles, more plays with his legs, we'd actually run a quarterback sneak on 3rd/4th and inches

Mara chose McAdoo and that’s blown up in his face.
This team has not had a viable plan for 7 seasons.....
There has to be a plan and there has to be the right people to carry it out....
Depending on the plan, and which direction we go, it can actually get worse before it gets better, though that is hard to believe if we go 1-15....growing pains take time.....we have wasted 6 seasons already, and we are still at square one....The Mara's and us fans, are going to have to be very lucky, if we can find someone who can get us out of the hole we have dug for ourselves, these last 7 post seasons.....
Where do they go from here? Simple. Fire Reese, Ross, McAdoo and the rest of the coaches and hire some new people. It isn't going to get any better with any of these clowns still in place.
What's hard is finding the right people to replace them with.
