So they waive LaCosse on friday and Adams biggest contribution is a holding penalty that negates a nice run from Gallman and a first down ...
It will be interesting to see if LaCosse is picked up and how he does in the future.
team is 1-8 and we are debating a 6th round TE vs an undrafted one.
We may have exhausted the main topic RE: NYFG...and until day before..game day..day after game...unless/until something newsworthy happens...we'll. talk minor subjects like this.
And NFL in general.
And Thanksgiving Christmas (or other religious holiday).
But January 2-10 2018 or so we'll be blogging like mad.
But we were supposed to keep the 45 catch production
that's why that cut did not make sense. Im not speaking of Engram, I though e should have Ty at least.
We kept 2 TE's LaCosse and Adams and these guys weren't really part of the plan.

Adams has always been a better blocker than Lacosse
They spent FA money and effort on getting Ellison in order to "fix" the TE but waited on the OL talent to develop. It should have been the other way around. They had Adams who would have been logical to wait on to develop and LaCosse and Tye would have been fine as the #2/3 TEs. I think Adams could have ben as effective as Ellison. Then they could have taken the Ellison money and effort and maybe gotten something for the OL.

All the top FA OL signed for a lot more money than Ellison. He's basically irrelevant to the lack of an OL solution.
Lacosse. I think the staff is not using the TEs correctly. Ellison should be playing all the time with Engram, with Adams as 3rd down TE or to spell one of the other two.

True and that's a problem. But his money plus a bit more might have gotten us something. I don't know for sure. And folks here wanted a TE and a WR and they got both. Didn't make much difference.
but he didn't really have a role with the Giants. Ellison and Adams are better blockers. Engram is a better receiver, and Ellison is at least as good. Adams is a developing two-way prospect.
I hope LaCosse catches on somewhere else, I think he can play in the NFL.

Yeah. They wanted another WR because Shepard "was a bust". Well I saw one guy out there who wasn't doggin' it yesterday and making some damn fine catches.

Right. But we couldn't have foreseen the impact of Ingram or even knew he'd be on the team. OBJ, Ingram and Shepard look like enough receiving talent but just OBJ and Shepard didn't even if you thought Shepard was a good player.
If LaCosse could have stayed healthy and performed ....

But they don't involve the TE;s enough . Adams has caught
every ball hiss way and he showed he could get behind the D
early this season with a 38 yard catch LaCosse had an excellent camp as did King the year before then they are forgotten . Adams has a big frame he is 6'5"
Engram is a heck of a player but if we went O-line and
RB early . The trio of Ellison LaCosse and Adams would have
been good enough . You think if we had Kareem Hunt Cam Robinson we would be 1-8 ?
