...all the focus on Jenkins, Apple and the D has taken the pressure off him, and he’s becoming a better player as a result. He’s no longer the scapegoat for all the team’s ills. As good a theory as any, I suppose.
I still would prefer to move him to RT where I think he could become a dominant RT. I wish that they would insert Chad Wheeler in at RT and let him get some experience and show if he is an option moving forward. He can't be any worse than Hart.
He had the Refs picked up the flags last week. He is getting the reputation as a solid honest player. He is not allowed to hold and get away with it so he has to play by the rules. He is picking up the nuances of pushing players out of position and blocking hard.
He is playing okay now. They are focusing on the right side now and the Giants are running the ball a lot more, trust me if he had to be good he would get exposed again, he sucks.

I started a thread last night about Left tackle and how well Whitworth has played. I got attacked by a bunch of posters but my point was more about how valuable Whitworth would have been and allowing Flowers to play RT or RG.
I don't want any part of resigning Pugh at a big number. Always hurt and not exactly a dominating guard/
for balls thrown 20 yards downfield. Then we can say he's playing well. But, when your QB dumps the ball within 2 seconds because the line stinks, it makes sense that the stats look better than they really are.
he might not be a top flight LT but he is an NFL caliber OL probably best at RG or RT
I think Flowers (and Jones) are the only starters who are keepers.
Maybe a positional change to RT for Flowers if we find a better LT.
I'd certainly let Pugh walk.

It will be interesting to see what Wheeler can do next summer.
Almost certainly one will be an OL.
That give you a rook, Flowers, and Jones.
I could see make Fluker coming back.

There's your line.
Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner!

Stay poised. The line is not that bad.
