A guy on twitter asked Snacks what was going on with the team and he responded with:

Just some really really really bad breaks. Media comes in locker room 30 minutes and formulates an opinion off 3-4 convos. Click bait

I'm open to talk more anytime. Feel free to find me or call me and we can make sure the opinions are more informed.
Could this get any worse?
If you listen to McAdoo's conference call, there are a couple of guys who are asking inciteful questions rather than insightful questions.
Just saying..,
Or what their little birdies tell them. And in some cases that birdie doesn't actually exist.
He's doing his job. If its not rah rah giants all the time, that's kinda what I want. If he's making something up, well that is different. He was pretty right on about Odell's ankle, and got a lot of crap for that.
When things go bad, this is what happens. People are not looking for stories, they are looking to stir things up and get it in the paper or on the web or on TV. That is the reality of when seasons go tits up like this one.
Crying about it makes no sense and, certainly, when you put on tape the lack of effort as we have seen the last two weeks then it becomes a feeding frenzy. I love Snacks and so on but c'mon Man...this is a surprise to you! How long has he been in New York?
That said....there are a few that do not know the game at all. They are writers more than they are football guys. Being there, listening to some ask questions when they had their limited access to players during training camp...I was embarrassed to be next to them. It was absurd. I understand they need "stories" and "clicks"....but man it was rough to be around.
I won't say who...but one of the beat writers told someone next to him, with assurance, that the NFL practice squads had 20 players on it. And that press coverage was when a CB lined up 5+ yards off the ball. Very basic knowledge things like that....to have someone write about (and criticize) players without actual game knowledge would madden me to no end if I were a player. I can 100% understand why most of them don't like being in the same room as them.
2) Their job is to sell papers/get clicks by writing about sports. So, yes, they're looking for an angle, they're looking for a controversial take, they are looking to get a juicy quote. No one reads "Players Doing the Best They Can" they read "Players Quitting on Coach." You can say that's the media's fault for looking for hot takes, but that's supply and demand.
Well, clearly he does. You can't argue with Jordan's response. He is (with all media) being called out. So, he offers a chance to get more info..
Ha ha - you really believe that....
It naturally becomes more adversarial as results deteriorate.
And yes, journalists have to sell papers and "players revolting against the coach stories" will get read. But does anyone believe those quotes are entirely made up?
In any case, bitching about stories in the media do exactly nothing about winning games on Sunday. The fans are frustrated, I for one certainly don't need a newspaper to tell me what to think about this team. I cannot wait for this stupid season to be over.

about "fake news" in any forum: if a reporter is caught making stuff up aka lying, they get fired. People dont risk their reputations for a scoop.

100 fucking %. Ive been one before
I will say that toilet bug is a good one. I'd put it right behind Janoris' shit-eater for creative and humorous insults.
Are we sure that there are players giving anonymous statements? Slow couple of days for a reporter. Time for an anonymous statement. Gets views and the best part is that you dont have to prove that anyone actually said it.

Offering to interview Snacks because he wants to lend a dubious "helping hand" - fuck off Click Boy.

Yeah yeah. I'll never click on one your articles pal. I played college ball for a major program and had a cup of coffee in camp. I have many former teammates and alums who experienced professional ball far further than I. Agency guys attended my wedding and represent my brother to this day. It's more than enough to snuff out absurdity from media members. We don't like you.
You stink.

B, you should have heard Jordan's spot on the Kay show. He actually brought up Snack's tweet. I was in really hoping he mentioned the toilet bug comment in reference to his journalism skills. Unfortunately, he didn't.
