No. Giants have a walk-through on Friday and an 80 percent practice on Saturday. Most teams do the opposite. It was one of the gripes from the anonymous players
through college, into the pros, then suddenly everything that you're used to in terms of a walkthrough/practice schedule is flipped upside down. Just doesn't make sense, especially for an NFL team.
And someone mentioned Chip Kelly - how'd that work out for him? Gtfoh.
Are they in uppers going thud or are they in full pads on Saturdays?

Well high schools and Colleges play on Friday and Saturdays - and the pros play on Sundays. The players seem to be able to adapt to that so I'd think they should be able to handle Friday walk-thru, Saturday practice.

Apples to oranges. If HS/Colleges all have a walk thru the day before the game, then they are basically training their bodies in this fashion:
1. Practice 2 days prior -> walk thru (and recover) -> game day
vs practicing the day before a game and not having a day to recover, even if the practice is "only" at 80%.

Can anyone verify that there is actually new comments about this being made?
I don't know why it was presented here like it was new info because that's not how I presented it in my tweet. I clearly referenced it as being one of the gripes from the anonymous players.

agree..seriously, that a routine done all your career (norm) that is changed and basically going 2 days in a row (padded practice 80% on Saturday and gameday) can have an impact on players
but something different is needed this year. The anonymous players didn't seem to take issue with the amount of practice, just the scheduling. I can't imagine there would be any harm in at least listening to the players on this one issue and switch it up.
about something. Didn't TC get ripped for his training camp. If I am not mistaken Strahan and O'hara were mad over it. Was this a new thing or were we using the same schedule last year, when we were winning?
But they were good last year and the players didn't need excuses for their ineptitude and lack of effort then.

You're missing my point completely.

Thanks Dan - you were clear enough for me.
Exactly.
And you can see them noticeably run out of gas midway thru the 3rd quarters.
