NYDN: Manning began and ended his Giants career on his terms

Gatorade Dunk : 12/1/2017 9:04 am
This is sure to elicit some emotional reaction for sure, but it has some merit, IMO. Pat Leonard makes the case that if this is the end, Eli started and ended his time with the Giants by refusing to play unless it was on his terms.

I will be surprised if Eli doesn't play for the Giants again

But yeah, it's possible.

I think a lot of people (myself included) have the exact opposite take. It will be surprising if Eli DOES play another game for the Giants again, but it's "possible".
Don''t be surprised to see Eli

Playing Sunday when Geno smith throws 4 picks in the first half
would anyone be stunned to see Eli

play on Sunday? There is nothing that the 'Doof could do anymore that would surprise me. Absolutely nothing.

I would absolutely fire him today.
The criticism for refusing to play in San Diego was always misplaced

Refusing to play for the team that drafts you is an option for every player. It was a shrewd move that I'm surprised isn't employed more often. Andrew Luck, for example, absolutely should have refused to go to that mess in Indianapolis.

Good for Eli on both counts.

This is exactly while I'll be watching.
What a mess.
I think ELway gets more of a pass
