Quentin Tarantino is ready to explore strange new worlds.

The filmmaker has a pitch for a Star Trek film, and he has shared his vision with J.J. Abrams, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Tarantino and Abrams have plans to bring together a writers room to develop a film at Star Trek studio Paramount. Tarantino has an eye to direct the potential project.

despite having great reviews, performed terribly at the box office. I believe it took a financial loss.
Even the death of Yelchin and Nimoy didn't save it.

but man I hope this happens. I’ve been talking with a buddy from work for years about how interesting it could be for him to take on a Sci Fi project.
JJ Abrams needs all the help he can get

I'm a QT fan. This seems like a stretch assignment for him so not sure how it will turn out, but at the very least the dialogue should be good.

One thing I like about QT in this move is that he says that the original Star Trek series has so many plots that can be turned into movies much like the Khan plot. I like that. I think they've gone away from that and watching Star Trek weekly because BBC is doing a 50th anniversary thing I agree with QT. There is an abundance of plots that can be followed up on based on the original series.
Just about the worst thing that can happen to Star Trek

Next to JJ Abrahms directing again is to have this ham fisted, wordy, B movie terror moron to put his soon on the Star Trek universe.

Thankfully, Star Trek: Discovery on CBS has been absolutely fantastic. Hoping they continue that series.
