NFT: FF PLAYOFFS BABY!!!

superspynyg : 12/5/2017 7:11 am
After a great start and a terrible ending I squeak into the playoffs.

Pick 2 rbs
Hyde vs Hou (4th best def vs rush)
Perine vs LAC (10 worst def vs rush)
Morris @ NYG
Hunt vs OAK
Ajayi vs LAR (2 worst vs rush)

I am dropping TE Cook which TE should I pick up?
Doyle
Clay
Ricky Seals Jones
I am thinking about sitting Baldwin this week. He plays JAX. Am I crazy?

thanks.

Cooks is infuriating
UConn4523 : 12/5/2017 9:28 am : link
just so many players to grow to in NE even with Hogan out. If Gronk and Hogan are out this week I like Cooks a lot but playoffs for me start next week which makes Cooks a high ceiling crapshoot again. No choice for me though, the only other WR I have (besides Hopkins) is Fuller and I don’t trust Savage. With Watson in I would start both Hopkins and Fuller but can’t do that now.

yeah cooks had three touches for 2.2 fantasy points this past week. I have Marvin Jones and Davante Adams too and I may start one of those guys over cooks just to have a safe floor.
I have Cooks in a league
pjcas18 : 12/5/2017 9:32 am : link
where my other WR's are Antonio Brown and Tyreek Hill so I usually start all three and can cope with a down Cooks week.

My RB's are Gurley and Drake (with other options for Drake).

that's the league where I won the regular season.

MetsAreBack : 12/5/2017 10:32 am : link
but facing #1 this weekend in our 14-team league and give up 21 points due to the playoff 'home field advantage' in round 1 (we award 3 points per difference in seeds come playoff time).

With my WR#2 (I had OBJ...) -- debating Amendola vs Kupp. Kupp has come on with Woods out but Philly is tough and Amendola *should* get a lot of targets with Hogan and Gronk out.

Either way, Mike Evans needs to wake the fuck up for me or my season is over. Ditto Kareem Hunt. And I need another few weeks of touchdown magic from Rex Burkhead.
I've had Ryan in 2015 and 2017
MetsAreBack : 12/5/2017 10:35 am : link
fuck me. Just looked it up. TD passes for Ryan since 2010: 28, 29, 32, 26, 28, 21, 38 and 16 (annualized 21).

So his, by far, two worst seasons out of 8 on my team.

The good news for you is since my season is now over in that league in large part because of Ryan (and Terrell Pryor/Dez Bryant) -- i'm sure he'll now go back to his 2 TDS per game average moving forward.
I ended up starting Dez and not Josh Gordon last week
Heisenberg : 12/5/2017 10:59 am : link
and that made all the difference as I won by less than a point and I am in the playoffs.

Hoping to get Cam Brate off waivers as Jordan Reed has to be the worst pick I've made all year. That's a helluva hamstring injury.

My other two leagues are bad. I missed the playoffs in both.

arcarsenal : 12/5/2017 10:59 am : link
Ronnie's team is such a fraud. Doesn't deserve that bye week.. look at the point disparity.

I'm the 1 seed with a bye in one of my other two leagues @ 11-2 and Rodgers stashed... I'll be a tough out in that league.

But last night was fucking infuriating. In my main league, I was sitting @ 8-4 by myself in 2nd with four 7-5 teams behind me (10 team league, 4 get in) - I had Mixon and my opponent had Boswell. I was only down 7 or so.. got to within 3 and then Mixon got hurt and didn't return.

So, instead of clinching, I fell into 5th place and now I have to beat the first place team to get in and his team is fucking loaded.

I have the players to put up big weeks in that league, but picking the right ones is difficult. This week, I had Jamaal Williams, Hilton, Westbrook and McKinnon all on my bench while guys like Perine, Mixon, Sanu and Theilen all had quiet weeks.
Sitting Jamaal Williams against Tampa

Well, if I knew GB was going to give Williams every single carry in regulation with Aaron Jones active - sure. Did anyone know that, though?

I still would have won if Mixon didn't get hurt. And it's not like Dallas is that strong against the run... I figured Perine would do better than 9 points.

Now I'll start Williams and they'll move to a 50/50 split and he'll lay an egg. Always how it goes.

I would have played Perine/Williams. Jones didn't scare me coming back from injury this week, though I agree it's a little worrisome going forward.

Yep - I can't fuck this up. I'm going against a guy who has Gurley/Bell/Hunt (though Hunt has hit a major wall) and just dropped 180.

I have stronger WR's than RB's so I'm probably going to start 4 WR and 2 RB... who would you go with?

RB's -

Perine vs. LAC
J. Williams vs. CLE
J. McKinnon vs. CAR
J. Mixon (if healthy) vs CHI

WR's -

K. Allen vs WSH (will obviously start him)
A. Theilen vs. CAR (also an easy start)
J Crowder vs LAC
T. Hilton vs BUF
M. Sanu vs. NO
D. Westbrook vs SEA (love where he's trending, don't love the matchup as much)
.

pjcas18 : 12/5/2017 12:31 pm : link
PPR league, divisional round playoffs:

QB: Brady @MIA
RB: Howard @CIN, Freeman vs NO
WR: M. Thomas @ATL, Mike Evans vs DET(?)
TE: Kelce vs OAK
Flex: D. Walker @ARI

Bench:
Mixon (short week) vs CHI
Dede Westbrook vs SEA
Aaron Jones @CLE
Cooper @KC
Corey Coleman vs GB

Free agents:

Gio Bernard vs CHI
Peyton Barber vs DET
Start
Mr. Nickels : 12/5/2017 12:37 pm : link
Goodwin over Demaryius and Cooper (if he plays)? I kind of need to leave Cooper in the IR spot because of the Gronk suspension..

Perine or Dion Lewis?

Is this the right order for Tight Ends:
Cameron Brate
Julius Thomas
Stephen Anderson
Tyler Kroft
Benjamin Watson

Trey Burton (If Ertz is out where would he rank out of these?)
if no Mixon
UConn4523 : 12/5/2017 12:39 pm : link
I like Bernard at Chicago instead of Howard vs Cincy. If the Bears get down early he's essentially done.

Kind of fucked with him. My only realistic options to start over him are Cooper or Dede Westbrook.

I like Coopers matchup if he plays. KC secondary seems porous lately and maybe Peters on Crabtree?

Needed some help last night had to sweat out the fourth quarter but i finally caught a break in a league that afforded me very little in that regard all year long. Now I feel like I'm dangerous. Only debate I have is which flex to play out of Alex Collins, darkwa or maybe Paul Richardson or bilal Powell. Probably going with darkwa. He's been pretty good for me when needed.

In the BBI Keeper league I didn't catch the break. Finished top 3 in scoring and like my future so I'll live with it.

I had a rough past couple of weeks, but a pretty good fantasy season overall.

My favorite league, 10-team, 5 keepers, I lost again to go 7-6, and I'm in 5th place. The best I can do is a tie for the last playoff spot by record, but I would lose the tiebreaker due to head-to-head. Considering I lost Dalvin Cook, OBJ, Deshaun Watson, and Allen Robinson in that league, and made some bad calls in holding on to Andrew Luck and Terrelle Pryor for too long, it's really not a bad season to have gone 7-6 to this point and playing myself into a chance at the playoffs. And with my keepers and my trade for the #1 overall pick, (2 first rounders next year, to boot) I should be set up for next year very nicely. I will likely keep Watson, Dalvin Cook, Joe Mixon, and two out of Josh Gordon, Derrick Henry, Jordan Howard, Doug Baldwin, and Travis Kelce. Looking forward to potentially taking Saquon Barkley #1 overall, and then have to see where I land and who might be available for my other first rounder next year.

In another 10-team standard league I am in 3rd place at 7-6, tied with the 4th place guy on record, and we play each other this week...there are 3 other teams at 6-7, so whoever loses may be out of the playoffs. We both have much better teams than our record would indicate. I really, REALLY want to win this week and put him out, as he's my brother-in-law, and this league is my best chance at a nice payout this year.

In one .5 PPR, 12 team league, I clinched and playoffs start this week. I have a pretty good team but a tough opening draw as I didn't secure a bye. I will probably ask for some help making lineup decisions because this one is a doozie.

In my other .5 PPR, 12 team league, I have been eliminated, but I knew it was coming after losing Watson and the 'Zeke suspension. However, I made a really good trade and if I win the #1 pick through the consolation bracket, I will be able to pick Antonio Brown to go with my two keepers, which, barring catastrophic injury, will be 'Zeke and David Johnson. Looking forward to next year!

In two non-money leagues, I am in first place in one and second in the other. Teams are pretty stout...one is just a weak-ass internet, NFL.com league though but the other is with a group of friends that has a trophy and a punishment for last place. I'm looking to repeat in that league and that is the league I am in first place. Decent showing this year but really disappointed that I don't have more chances for money...all my eggs are in two baskets.

While I think the hit was dirty and very dangerous, they will have to suspend 3-4 guys a week now. At some point, these players are going to need to look out for each other. Every week there is a handful of unnecessary hits that do nothing for the game.

I am benching Stefon Diggs this week @Carolina so that means he's going to go off. Get him in YOUR lineups. If I change my mind and put him in I will let you know so you can take him out, because he will then invariable provide you with a steaming pile of crap for this all-important week 14 matchup.

Question...this to decide who advances to fantasy playoffs:

Leonard Fournette vs. SEA (4th fewest points allowed to RBs)

OR

Rex Burkhead @ MIA (9th most points allowed to RBs)

who would it be:

Gio Bernad
Peyton Barber

I have Joe Mixon, so if I pick up Bernard it wouldn't be a total loss if Mixon suits up.

But Peyton Barber actually looked good last week running and catching passes and it's PPR. I think even if Doug Martin plays, Barber probably passed him on the depth chart.

I think GB D stinks, but either way, need to pick up one.

CIN has no one else. So if Mixon sits, Gio is going to get a ton of touches and should be a safe bet for like 12-15 pts in a PPR league.
