At the end of each News and Notes update, I provide a "what's next" schedule. Giants have no media availability today. Head Coach and players address press on Wednesday.
During Eli's segment on Francesa last night, Francesa asked Eli if he had spoken with Spags yet. Eli said he had and specifically said Spags told him Spags had to discuss the situation with the offensive coaches. Eli went on to say that he let Spags know he wanted to start.
and Webb never sees a down rest of the way...then what in the world was the point of Geno starting vs raiders then?
are the giants this inept?or what?
McAdoo and Reese were inept and were behind Geno starting. They were fired yesterday. Webb has had virtually no reps the way the t-leaves read and with all WR injured. Why throw him to the wolves. Eli should start, Webb backup and Geno at No. 3.

wouldn't have upset me per se, but I dont think we are really going to learn much about him anyhow. Honestly, Webb isnt going to prevent the Giants from drafting a QB early if the talent is there.
is that Eli should start, with Webb being the backup. Smith should be cut - sign another player that can be evaluated down the stretch. Get Webb some playing time over the last quarter of the season - that would make the most sense.

Yes it may. If Webb looks competent, then why waste a #1 on a QB when they have so many needs.
In reality, there is likely a better QB available top 2 or 3, but if Webb blows them away there are several players that can make immediate impact after the draft. However like the 'Skins did with RG3 and Cousin, it might do them well to have Webb as a fall back.
He probably hadn't spoken with Eli at that point
Well ... I'm pretty sure what Sullivan's input will be ...

Nope, that came from Eli directly.

Came from his convo with Mara, not Eli.

Thanks, didn't see this
