Took his total fuck up and turned it into a profit.
At least that’s how I see it. Made a December game in a season where they are 2-10 in to a must be at game. Hats off. Guy learned a thing or two in business school.

I think you are giving him too much credit. After all, McAdoo was his guy and that was just a colossal misjudgment that basically wasted several years of Eli's prime.

Exactly how is he turning a profit on this?
The stadium was already sold out.

One distinct example is the owners get a percentage of jersey sales. Before Ben fumbled the situation, Eli was at the bottom of the Top 50 jersey sales. Just in the week, he now sits at No. 29 out of the Top 50. The Giants, NFL, and Eli all profited just from jersey sales. Seems like a small example, but it is a tremendous amount of sales to move that far up in the rankings in just 1 week. Again, it's not that they are flush in cash from jersey sales, but you just asked for an example in how they are profiting.

How am I making shit up? That stadium wasn’t going to be full. Now by all counts it is.

Thanks for the example, but this can't be much money at all.

I'm pretty sure they share evenly across all teams for jersey sales. So the Giants make as much on the sale of a Carson Wentz jersey as they do on the sale of an Eli Manning jersey.
Obviously, the total volume of sales for Eli jerseys had to have surged, as you note, but that went into the pockets of all the owners, not just Mara and Tisch.

True (as did I), but I think even Dallas would give him a standing ovation.
To quote Parcells: "They hate us so much, they like us"....LOL
