So I had sent a letter to Mara, which included my tickets to the final three home games. It was very short and sweet to the point, with the main part being the following:
"It’s clear to me the decision wasn’t thought out. If the Giants invested so little effort in this choice, I choose not to invest my time into the rest of the 2017 season."
The Giants ticket office just called and left a message. They said Mara had dropped off the letter and tix to the ticket office to be donated.
The woman on the phone said that happened before all the events over the last few days, and now they were offering to FedEx the tickets back if I wish, including a field pass to the Cowboys game.
I never expected a return call, perhaps only a form letter at most.
But kudos for the Giants for doing that...........BTW, I had already sold my Cowboys tickets so I won't be going and will ask them to donate the final two games.
Am I reading that right? Why send those tickets back to the Giants if you'd already sold them?

lol MAB beat me to it.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm picturing Mara on the back page of the Post with some ridiculous headline: "Scrooge Screws Fans".
Even if we don't agree with every minute turn, we need to at least acknowledge that fact.
It's a positive, and better to see.
All part of BillKo's diabolical plan.
I definitely think John Mara cares. The issue I have is some of the decision making.

so if they hadn't fired McAdoo and Eli was still benched, they'd have given the Cowboys tickets to charity... but you'd sold the electronic versions online... so some kid going for the first time would have had a fake ticket at the gate.

LOL...cmon guys, it's not that complicated. I returned her call and said give the two remaining games to charity, the Dallas tickets sold. But thanked them for the offer.
Definitely shouldn't have sent the Dallas tix and they could have (and did) sell.....I guess I was going more for emphasis by including all my remaining passes. And probably not thinking it out 100%!!!!
But I think it was a nice gesture by the Giants to give me a personal call back, regardless of whether Mac was fired or Eli was named starter again.....

as to when you sold the cowboys tickets? Did you sell them before the letter including a bogus set of tickets? Did you sell them after you sent the letter and consequently sold tickets that weren't valid as you already specified to donate the paper tickets?

Definitely a nice gesture on Mara's behalf. I'm glad you were able to call them back and let them know about the remaining tickets and straighten out the Cowboys tickets.
How would that work without a game ticket?
ITs also good to know that all I have to do is write a letter and threaten a little and they'll give me field passes!
(by the way, i've done the field pass thing a few times through friends - its something to do once, but a little overrated... obviously still a very nice gesture by NYG though)
