300 yards rushing. Big win to lock up the #1 seed against the #2 seed when the defense was starting to really look banged up.
It's a thing of beauty to see a Giants offensive live whoop some ass at the point of attack. 200 yards rush for Derrick Ward, 3 TD for Jacobs.
Not an "Eli game" but he made some great throws.
Enjoy.

But man it was a great win. Shortly after the Plax fiasco. Locked up home field. Felt great going forward. Then Eli couldnt throw into the wind vs Philly and it was all over.

The Giants lost to the Eagles because they blew 2 4th down and short runs and Carney missed 2 field goals in the biggest game of the year when he was a Pro Bowler and pretty much automatic all season. That game still makes me angry because if the Giants win that game, they repeat as Super Bowl champs. However, the Football Gods made up for that season with the 2011 title.

yep. From the Buffalo game in Week 16 2007 to this Eagles game was to me the high water mark for the Coughlin/Eli Giants Era. That team was rolling.
I'll always remember when the Giants finally tied it or got the game within their grasp and during a timeout the stadium played house of pain. Our section was young and rowdy all night. And then it got really rowdy. It was practically a mosh pit.
Man what a great time that was to be a Giants fan. For about 11 months we were the baddest mother fuckers in the NFL. We had a glorious run under our belts already and we're just awesome. Everything was perfect. Not many fsn bases enjoy that kind of run. I know it didn't last but it was a rare special moment.
Me too. That Steelers game was a throwback, heavyweight slug fest. I really thought that was a SB preview.
I hope it comes out

The analogy that someone made with '89 Rams game is a good one. Both home playoff games against a WC team that had traditionally given us fits. Interceptions set up big TD's. We moved the ball on the ground but got little in the passing game and couldn't get the damn ball into the end zone. There are some games you watch where defeat seems to just hang in the air.
i thought after winning this game that we were repeating. ugh.
Giants beat all 4 of the teams that played in the conference championship games that year.
man 2008........best giant team ive had the pleasure to witness.
