Artie Lange is reportedly suffering from an addiction and a series of health ailments that have left him “at death’s door,” leaving fans of the actor and comedian worried.
Fans became concerned this week when Lange had to cancel his appearance on the Artie and Anthony Show, saying he was suffering from the flu. But Radar Online shed more light on his health struggles, noting that doctors are worried about Lange’s deteriorating condition and questioning in a headline if he could be “at death’s door.”
The celebrity news outlet interviewed Artie’s mother, Judy Lange, who said that her son is fighting a number of conditions — namely his addictions.

I think the accident where his father fell and was paralyzed and eventually died has traumatized him all these years. There's more going on with that then anyone really knows
This looks bad (infection from snorting heroin) but he's been more or less in this state for so long - nointy noine years by my count - how can you really know "this is it"...?
Good luck Artie.

I believe you're correct Larry. He has referenced his fathers accident and death as a trigger point many times

Wow Larry, thanks for the insight. I didn't know you knew him.
Not really a fan of his stand-up but, he was GREAT on Stern, great story teller and ball breaker. He was also very quick with funny ad-libs.
Get well Artie.
the dude cannot even show up on time for a show that starts at 4pm Monday-Thursday. And I don't believe anything he says anyway. He lies.....a lot.
Agreed, but my point is that he doesn’t seem to be on deaths door as suggested.
Can't show up at work at 4pm lies a lot they call this an addict

On the show he mentions he had a flu shot and he thinks it gave him the flu. He sounded fine. That picture posted today, but is probably from last week when he had the flu.

It saddens me as I always remember him as being very athletic and being a very good baseball player, something he was very proud of and put in time and effort to improve his skills. He was never one to judge if you weren't as athletic as him or out right sucked(me). One of my fondest memories with him was shooting hoops I'm his backyard.

Here's a true story. My family moved into the neighborhood in 1969 making me 1 and Artie 2. My dad was outside moving stuff in and Artie's dad was walking him in a stroller. At that time Artie had long blonde flowing locks. Mr Lange walked up and welcomed my dad to the neighborhood and my dad said boy what a beautiful daughter you have. His dad stormed off furious with mine and didn't speak to my dad for at least ten years.
His dad was different than all my other friends' father as he was younger, active, had a Harley, would be out there playing catch. He was a very nice guy.
One thing I can say is growing up all the other kids in the neighborhood were Cowboy or Steeler fans. I had no idea he was a huge Giants fan and he would never know I was as the Giants sucked so bad in the 70s we were both too embarrassed to admit it.
His life really revolved around the Yankees. No matter what if the Yankees were on he left. Same with This Week In Baseball.
Last time I saw him was junior high. I broke my foot at his house when his father door came down on my foot. He never asked what happened out how I was. Shortly after he went to high school and got new friends and then the shit went down with his dad.
My sister used to work in NYC in the early 2000s around the time he was on Stern. They would bump into each other on the train and he'd ask how I was. She'd also run into his sister w/o was working in the city in the fashion industry.
The only thing my sister would say is there are some demons in that family but there's no proof

Larry, did you see signs of addiction when you lived next to him? Also, what type of fall did his father take?
dude seems to have nine lives.
I liked his small part on crashing on HBO this past summer.
When I seen the picture it looks like someone just woke up and has the flu.
Don Rickles dressing down Artie's character is the best part of the whole thing.

Can you elaborate on this at all?

Just 360K followers on Twitter, all clamoring for someone to call he cops after he posted that pic.
NJ.com reports Lange was arrested Tuesday night at his home in Hoboken. Authorities say Lange failed to appear in Superior Court in Essex County for charges stemming from a drug arrest earlier this year.
