Eli Apple retweeted a highlight of the Cowboys running back scoring on us today. He's still living in the past of his OSU days and being an overall shitty teammate.
underachieving 1st round draft pick, healthy scratch, reported attitude issues - tweets about highlights made by opposing player - yeah ur right, why get upset?

Adam, I think he deleted the tweet of the cowboys highlight. But plenty of people saw it and called him out on it. There was another tweet or response to a tweet. Someone pointed it out in the game thread, but that also seems to be missing. Basically, someone asked him why he was inactive, and he responded that "I guess I'm too healthy" with a emoticon.
A number of issues beside being a shitty teammate. I thought the NFL had a restriction on player's tweeting during the game - active or inactive. Also, by saying that he is healthy despite the injury designation on the injury report, it questions the team's dealings. Are they making up the injury to stash a player instead of the shit storm if he was a healthy scratch? Can the NFL penalize the Giants for tinkering with the injury report?
I don't know what to make of it, but he is one that I would like to see traded this off-season. He still has talent and is affordable, so he should be worth some draft collateral. If he can't be traded, then an outright release. Let him get picked up on waivers by Cleveland.
If they cut him in the offseason, how much dead cap space is there Â

Also, as has been suspected, but many think it was Eli Apple who was one of the anonymous leaks.

I understand and agree with all you wrote.
The problem is that I don't know how much he is worth. Cockrell was had for a 7th round conditional pick. Apple was a first round pick and may only be able to net a 5th rounder? Or is it going to be even less?
What's the market on first round headcases who haven't reached their ceiling?

I wouldn't even hazard a guess. But he is a cancer that need to be removed. Like the old saying, "one bad apple will spoil the bunch".
His contract is up. He will waste while he doesn’t get to improve the n his deficiencies and never get a second contract worth a damn. Hope he studied something and has other plans, cause he isn’t long for the NFL. Sucks, what a shitty draft, at least we got Sheppard. I’ve been patient with Apple, but his continued actions make me like him less and less, he isn’t good enough of a player to justify his actions. He sucks and doesn’t even play hard, what a bust.
Bill parcells, would most likely not have had eli apple on his grocery list, but if he was compelled to draft eli number one.....he would have groomed him from day one, and none of this nonsense would be occurring or it would be occurring, but not on the giants team more likely buffalo or Cleveland.
We passed on Laremy Tunsil for Apple. I'm also thrilled that we passed on Gurley for Flowers. If Reese wasn't a dumb fuck we'd have a good OL and a stud RB but instead we have a lazy stupid CB, a LT who can't block and a shit head WR. Zach Martin, Laremy Tunsil and Todd Gurley or Odell, Flowers and Apple. Fuck you Jerry Reese.

Just placed the link in the correct spot. If there is nothing from Apple it is not my problem.
Can we in any real sense expect more than a 5th or 6th round pick? Dude is such a fucking dickhead.
Quit projecting. It shows an obvious lack of adjustment to the pro game on Apple's part. Try getting with the times.

Wow. Just wow.
Get this guy the fuck out of here ...
Guy is the most weak minded individual in big blue history.
Wow.
People vilify Beckham for things he posts - this is the sort of thing that deserves all the criticism it gets.
Apple is a loser.
I don't know that there has been a Giant I have disliked more than this guy.
