MRI showed that Eagles’ QB and NFL MVP candidate Carson Wentz did tear his ACL. Wentz is our for season.
But this is what happens if you have a QB who thinks part of his job is running for positive yards or TDs. You have to be super smart about running in the NFL if you're a QB (See: Wilson, Russell). Wentz went head first into the end zone. TD! Great! Oh, not so great.
but I was reminded last night of Howard Eskin making light of Victor Cruz's knee injury a few years ago. You know, karma, bitch, etc.
Mike Missanelli, not Eskin (although maybe he did too).
Yea I remember Missanelli tweeted "Hey Giants fans, Victor Cruz is done. Dance to that!". Can't say I feel bad for the Eagles fans. Giants have been hit harder by injuries than anyone.
everyone here at work is mourning. For the next couple years, I will hear how this team was more dominant than the 85 Bears and didn't win the SB only cause of a freak injury.
puts into question the 2018 season as well right? Well, at least a portion of it
It could, all depends how his rehab goes, but typically they get these guys ready in 6 months. When i tore mine, they said they could have me going again in 6 months if I really needed to. It took about 18 months to feel 'right' again. I think if Wentz does make it back for week 1 next year, he will struggle for the first half of the year.
Ran into an Eagles fan co-worker of mine 2 weeks ago Â

Absolutely, as I told an Eagles fan buddy a few weeks ago, this guy just takes too many shots!
Ha-ha. This place is so soft. We get it; you’re all classy gentlemen who don’t yell curse words at the TV screen like the average idiot fan. Football isn’t what you build your whole landscape of life on. Yeah. I’m going to go cry and feel sad because Wentz was stupid enough to run around as if he’s not playing football at the pro level and thinking like this is some high school football game. He has to be smarter than that.
Sometimes I get it, BBI is a place for a smart football discussion and this and that. That’s why I love posting here and have a lot of fun reading what you guys write. Even the ones who I disagree with; that’s what makes BBI (kind of) fun. I even shamed myself by posting on BBI during the precious Holiday of Thanksgiving, right Mr. Bugless?
However, I guess I will be the guy who falls on the sword and makes this close proximity rivalry fun and jumps up and says… who gives a shit? As others said, I doubt they were emotional when Victor Cruz and Odell Beckham had season ending injuries.
When I go to Giants games (when they matter) and the crowd cheers when the Eagles are losing when they show RedZone highlights, I love that. When I went to the Denver game and KC lost that day and the crowd did that same reaction, I laughed. I said to the Denver fans next to me, I bet they can hear you from 10-12 hours away. I told him how close Philly is to us and NJ is the crossroads of the rivalry.
Some doofus will always tell you “You’re in Eagle country” and I say, yeah? What happens when you drive 3 miles north of here and you’re in closer vicinity to MetLife Stadium?
next season. The timing of his injury is horrid for the eagles. Their playoff run and for much of next season, they will be without Wentz depending on how severe his ACL is.
F**k the NFL. Shame for Wentz and that's the extent of it.
Mike Missanelli, not Eskin (although maybe he did too).

This x 1,000
Sucks for Wentz.

I said "How are you?"
His response was "Better than Eli Manning!"
I hope Eagles fans drown in their sorrow.
