Supposedly this was after Apple told the media today that Landon's never talked with him about his issues, contrary to what Landon claimed.
Getting a little uglier by the day around there.
He's not getting cut nor should he. At least not yet. Giants will give him another year.

He might.
Landon had spoke to the media saying that he spoke with Apple on his struggles. When the media asked Apple, if Landon spoke with him earlier this season, Apple said Landon did not. When the media came back to Landon, he insisted that he did and Apple doesn't remember.
I'm surprised Apple is still running his mouth.. this is going on like a month? at what point do you tell him to just go home for the season? Someone needs to step the fuck up and handle this shit!
I know he is young and has gone through a lot but he is gonna be a problem if his attitude doesn't change. Victim mentality.
You’re being ridiculous. Weight of the world on his shoulders? He’s was a backup corner on a horrible NFL team. Apple isn’t brokering a deal with the North Koreans or performing bypass surgery.
I also would love to know how family issues propels one to power up twitter and throw out some provocative tweets. Nothing spells grief or anguish quite like tweeting support for folks playing against your competitor or contradicting your teammates.
My interpretation of "that" is in reference to Apple's collective tweeting habits. Part of which he was criticized when he retweeted the Rod Smith TD over us during the game this past Sunday. He also had responded on twitter when asked why he wasn't suited up, he responded that "He was too healthy" which of course was in direct contradiction with him being listed on the injury report during the week.
Basically, Collins is saying here that he did and Apple should have noting more to tweet about less he wants an ass kicking.
Big fucking deal... my mother had brain surgery too. I was in NJ and she was in FL. Having to fly down there, getting a court order to force a shitty florida hospital to release her so we could take her to a real surgeon in NY. Having to do that while having full time job, kids in school... and no NFL salary to pay for it all.
No sympathy at all for Apple having to "deal" with some family issues

That's pretty much what I was thinking too but was hoping someone could confirm that's what the "that" was.
They took my thumb Charlie!...
HA!!
Thing is, he is not that good when on the field anyway.
Considering that his mother had brain surgery, that comment is in poor taste.
Sorry, but I give Apple very little leeway. You can give a pass on some things but effort on the field is telling.
Lots of people go through tough situations but they don't let it affect the way they play and the effort they give.
It is a part of league rules that prohibit players from tweeting during the game. But there are restrictions for what discipline can be handed down. A fine was appropriate for the tweet behavior.
Suspending players for missing scheduled team activity or leaving the field (Jackrabbit and DRC respectively) is allowed.
Now, if a player willfully shows insubordination, walks out on a scheduled team activity, speaks out against the organization publicly, etc. then the team can choose to suspend a player for conduct detrimental to the team. Apple has been tiptoeing around the behavior all season. He was benched early in the season after the prior week that he yelled at Frank Mara (no idea what job role he has, but the guy was on the sideline). He threatened to walk out on the team after being called out for his effort during a film review. Most people suspect he was the anonymous source calling out the organization earlier in the season. Even his tweeting last week undermined the official injury list stating that he missed practice time due to a hip when he responded to a tweet asking why he wasn't suiting up, he stated he was too healthy.
All of these transgressions are close if not valid reasoning to suspend Apple for conduct detrimental to the team. But alas, you can't impose additional discipline for a prior act. He was benched for the yelling. You can't suspend a player who threatens to leave. You can't suspend a player whom you suspect is an anonymous source. Etc. Apple is walking a tight rope.

Everyone's situation, circumstances, stress level, environment and mental durability is exactly the same.
That's a ridiculous post. Sorry for your troubles but a) not everyone handles life threatening/changing moments the same way, and b) I'm pretty damn sure your job performance suffered, even if just a little, and/or your company was pretty damn accomodating in helping you deal with your personal issues during that time. How could it not? You said yourself you were dealing with Florida courts and flying down all the time... so you clearly didnt have the time to perform your job at the best level you could.
I'm not an Apple fan - i thought it was a ridiculous stretch pick at the time we made it. But I'm not going to minimize the personal stuff he's gone through this year.
With that said, his job doesnt 'put the weight of the world on his shoulders' either as someone alluded to above. For one we havent played a meaningful football game all year, its turned out. Second, he's not the QB.
Sit him down and make sure he is committed to playing football AND to being a Giant. Assure him that he will get all the support he needs, but that he will be on a short leash. We have too little talent to throw away 1st round picks.
The kid has simply gone full tilt since.
Hope the email wasn't from Joe Skiba.

Because of it I went on LC's twitter and saw he has some of his own merchandise for sale. Picked up a T-Shirt for my son (he's a big Collins fan) and got an Email today from them saying I won a signed jersey of his via a drawing. Pretty cool

LOL
Hopefully, he will grow up very fast or be traded soon. Can't have that immature behavior. Maybe send him to cowboys, they love spoiled kids

Let's trade him to the Bengals. I would love to see him try this crap around Burfict.
