Defensive End Jason Pierre-Paul
Postgame vs. Washington Redskins, December 31, 2017
Q: ??
A: You never know when injuries will occur, but my main thing is guys didn’t quit throughout the whole season. We played all those games and I salute to them.
Q: What was it like going out there for this last game when there was really nothing to play for but pride?
A: We are all pros, it was more than just pride. Obviously, the so-called fans weren’t out there, but I appreciate all the fans that came out to show their support. Without them, it’s really just us. So, I appreciate the fans that came out. They didn’t have to but those are the true Giants fans, other than that it has been a rough year.
Q: What can you take away from this win?
A: It was just a team win. You can’t justify the season off of one win. Obviously we lost all the others. To me, it’s one win, I’m not satisfied with the season, but I’m happy we got this win. We worked hard for it. It was a team win and I’m happy.
Q: You are a veteran here, are you happy with the way some of these young guys have developed?
A: Every guy is going to develop differently. Whoever they hang around, that’s where they will get some wisdom from. Every guy develops different, I developed differently from Osi or Tuck, I picked their brains when I was young. They’re young, that’s really all I can say about it.
Q: You have a new GM and will have a new coach, how much change are you expecting?
A: I don’t really care, to tell you the truth. I know he is going to come in and do what he is supposed to do and give the coaches the hand that we need. Whatever he does, I’m behind him and I will be ready to play football next year.
Q: When does the culture start to take shape for next season
A: I don’t know, we got some time. In the offseason, that will develop.
He's uncuttable for another year.
I'm tired of hearing about so and so laughing it up when poor Eli was talking to the press. Eli chose to do that, he could have played and started. The other players weren't standing around the interview laughing at Eli. They had their own conversations going on and probably had no idea Eli was either sitting it out or talking about sitting it out. It wasn't a funeral service. Nobody asked for silence and mourning.
McAdoo and Reese and Mara screwed that up, not JPP or any other player.
We can't cut this overrated clown fast enough. Just another high-paid, under-performing, big-name player that doesn't have an ounce of leadership in his body, and he's not the only one.
Paying a ton of money to see a 2-13 team? in the freezing cold? On New year's Eve? Yea I think I'll pass.
Used to be a favorite of mine, but after this season and a comment like that ... Forget this clown

For a guy who was laughing it up while Eli was talking to the press after the news of his benching, he shouldn't be saying a damn thing about fans. He's already on a lot of our shit lists.

It's a total lack of awareness on his part. Either that or he just didn't care at all. Neither of which would surprise me when it comes to JPP. He didn't need to sit there crying but hey, at least he had a damn good time during this shitty ass season, right?
How about we question your decision making playing with ducking firecrackers ?!?!
Yep I didn’t go. I decided to stay home today. Where the fuck was this team all year?!?

When 26k out of 76k show up... if i was a player I would call just what there are bandwagon fans. He was praising the fans that did brave the cold to pay homage to their heros as Walt Frazier would say. This may be the last game you see Eli Manning in a NYG uniform play.
