7th 8th graders. The other day before practice they were all goofing around trying to shoot like Lonzo. All bricks and air-balls. We immediately did drills that focus on squaring up and good mechanics.
That kid's shot is a problem, especially at this level. Maybe he can fix it, maybe he can't. I certainly can't remember another player who had such an unorthodox shot who was also a good shooter.
The rest of his game is pretty damn good, actually.
And of course, his Dad is already trying to get a coach fired, so good luck with that, too.
3+ games and your PG doesn't get to the line even once?
Atlanta is awful but Lonzo couldn't stay in front of their PG. He's a liability when matched up vs athletic guards.
Lonzo gets he ball up the court on the break. That's his best skill at this point. Doesn't offer much after that. Half court game is so limited he remains a huge liability.
Lonzo +33 tonight, Lakers romp, 2-1 since return Â
OK. Let me tell you something. Right now, today, this moment today, January 11, 2018 Lonzo Ball is massively underrated according to what people think. By the way, this Laker team, he gets hurt goes 0 and 6. Chemistry implodes. They have to hold a team meeting and Kyle Kuzma, their star, erodes. He comes back. They're 2(now 3) and 1. Crisis averted.
Lonzo is top 10. Not among rookies. Not among rookie point guards. Lonzo is top 10 in the NBA among all guards in a guard driven league. Among point guards in the NBA. In my lifetime we've never had this many good point guards. We've never had this many good point guards. He's top 10 among all of them. Rookies, second year, third year, all of them, all stars, veterans. Rebounds, steals, assists, and blocks. Fact he leads the Lakers in rebounds and assists. His last 10 games, 14, 7 1/2, 7 1/2.
Take out the noise. Right now he's fifth all time in assists per game for the Lakers. And you think he's underrated? Let me give you something. I want to throw something up here. This is kind of interesting. It's 34 games. He's 20. He played one year of college in a weak conference, the Pac-12. Let's go. He's played 34 games. Let's go to LeBron James, the greatest player in the last 15 years. Let's go to his 34 games. He was one year younger. Rebounds, Lonzo averages more. Assists, Lonzo. Three point percentage, Lonzo. Blocks, Lonzo. Better plus minus, Lonzo. Record, Lonzo. Turnovers, win, Lonzo. LeBron had more. But LeBron averaged more points. LeBron should average more points. He's a scorer. Lonzo Ball's not a scorer.
This noise is getting in the way of the truth. Go to the data. Take out the emotion. Today, Lonzo is underrated when you compare him to what people think he is. He is a super long, vastly, quickly improving point guard, on a weak roster. He is their best rebounder as a point guard. He is their best passer. He is their crisis averter. He is their culture changer. This kid is really good and getting better. You're letting the noise get in the way of it.
so I can always be reminded of anyone on the planet thinking Lonzo Fucking Ball is a top 10 NBA player. He’s probably wedged somewhere between Anthony Davis and Chris Paul, right?
His O-6 sample size without Lonzo? And then a 3 game sample when he's back. Yeah that tells the story:
Where does he talk about:
1. That small sample doesn't mean shit
2. INgram (Lakers best player was hurt)
3. The opponents. Look at that 0-6 stretch and then the wind vs who? Sac and ATL? Nice. Oh wait the Spurs without half the roster.
Or was it all about Lonzo and "culture change". What a bunch of horseshit.
Vs SA 2nd team ha had his best game. Great job.
But the kid is severely limited. And that won't work. You have to do more than an occasional outlet pass. How about start by getting to the line once a game. That may help.
He's now approaching 200 minutes without a free throw attempt. Doesn't get to the line. Can't score in half court. Can't penetrate and dish. Can't shoot. Does nothing in mid range. Yeah top 10.
Another culture changing performance with 30% shooting and 1-7 from 3. 43 minutes on the court today with no free throw attempts again. He’s up to 7 games in a row without a free throw.
Clearly he is the difference for the team. No other explanation for this big winning streak.
15 exagerations
6 boneheaded decisions
and
8 examples of making a complete ass 0f himself
All Star Major League Dick numbers
Fultz and his bizarre injury. Ball and his inability to shoot.

And Tatum an absolute STUD

Is his talent enough to overcome his father and his big mouth basically disrupting the entire team?
Lakers are now a soap opera because of lavar ball...
I said this during draft time his father will undermine any coach unless they are winning a championship and even then he will make stupid comments

Dude you are a fucking train wreck of idiocy. Wow.
Stupid Stan in LA strikes again.
You are a caricature of yourself at this point.
Hm. I just realized that Stan has been trolling us for years. Well done, Stanley!
And another 20% shooting night.
But he sucks, because BBI said so.
LOL.

Not to mention he did it all without getting to Free Throw line, again

If you didn't let Stan vote, it would be unanimous.

Yup. Missed the game tonight and Lakers got crushed.
