Titans are scrappy and I believe this will be a much closer game than people think. They were blown out by the Steelers but since then almost beat a much improved niner team on the road, almost beat the Rams and they beat Jacksonville.
27-21 Chiefs
Tenn if they force kc to drive field instead of giving up big plays, then I think Smith and company will prone to mistakes and give Tenn good chance of upset in this game

I could see this happening. Titans are built for this kind of game. They have big physical receivers ,can run and play defense. I think the NFC will be interesting but I think every one in the AFC will lose next week to NE and Pitt.
NFL didn't review that horrible Kelce helmet shot / concussion because they didn't want concussions heavily in the news with a big review and turnover that potentially changed the game.
Never saw him as an NFL player though. Once the draft hype started that year I couldn’t believe how high he was being ranked. He looks like shit today and hasn’t been very impressive any time I’ve seen him in his first three years. And they’ve put some decent pieces around him. Looks like he moves in slow motion.
Looks soooooooo lost.
Smith 19/23 at halftime.
Life is good when you can play pitchncatch with your weapons, and D not even within 2 yards so you can have lots of YAC.
According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, if the Titans do not beat the Chiefs in Saturday's wild card game, coach Mike Mularkey could be fired. If he is, the Titans would then likely target Josh McDaniels to replace him.
Like his brain works in slow motion. I’d be pissed if the Giants had a QB like him.
The Giants do have a qb like him, his name is Davis Webb. Same one read qb, without the athleticism and less accuracy.
Yet you’ve never seen Webb play a down of football in your life. You people kill me
I'm not going to hijack this thread with giants comments. I'll just leave it by saying I have watched Davis Web play several downs of football in college. Please, go watch this guys college tape. You people kill me, it's not like this guy has never seen a football field before, there's a lot of tape on him. Then you have people in here complaining about Mariota- the SAME type of qb as Webb, except not as good. Seriously, it's not that hard to connect the dots that Davis Webb is not an NFL caliber franchise qb, just watch a little tape and use some analytical thinking. I won't post more on this thread, it's about this game. Apologies to the rest of you.
How the hell are Webb and Mariota the same QB? They literally couldn’t be any more different. If you’re watching college talpe of Webb and come away thinking that he’s a Mariota clone, I’d suggest putting the tape of the correct Davis Webb on because you clearly have the wrong tape.

There very alike - neither gets to play QB for the NY Giants...
The Titans have a really strong foundation laid down. But they're a perfect example of a team that desperately needs a superstar. They really don't have that big time playmaker on their offense.
I know they had high hopes for Corey Davis and he had a bit of an injury riddled rookie campaign. Henry is a nice power back who is starting to come into his own. But they just don't have that guy to bust a game open.
decent defense. very good OLine, good TE, decent wr, promising rookie wr
I said above how they have some decent pieces. I like their O-Line, it isn’t as if Marcus is back there running for his life. He gets time to throw but doesn’t do anything good with the time they give him.

Neither of these two teams are going to the Super Bowl. Andy Reid is a good coach but he fucks up so much shit. He gets way too cute with the play calling, I know it sucks Kelce is out but LOL this is not surprising at all...
What, were the Chiefs up 38-10 vs the Colts a couple years back?
I don't know why, but the thing that pisses me off the most in all of pro sports is drops in football. Shit. Catch the ball? It is your job you know...
have to let that play continue, you can bring the clock back but if you call him down and he actually fumbled the officials would never hear the end of it
have to let that play continue, you can bring the clock back but if you call him down and he actually fumbled the officials would never hear the end of it
Agree... you let it go and then you can overturn it if needed. The last thing you want to do is blow the whistle if there is a chance that it was a live ball.
BTW, someone blew the whistle before that ball was taken downfield
They are the best team in the AFC. They get the advantage of the better matchup as the #1 seed.. every matchup is favorable. That is why you get rewarded for winning games

That isn’t the same. KC is one of the few teams that can beat New England and now B.B. gets to plan for a guy making his 2nd playoff start. This is a much easier matchup than they would have gotten.
a disappointment for KC, especially after being ahead 21-3. Really gritty by Tennessee to keep believing they could win. Wonder if Alex Smith will be back next year for KC. They are apparently open to trading him, not that I think he should come to the Giants. But I'm sure he'd have suitors.
almost feel sorry for him but...nah. Don't like him. Never did. Sutton's defense is soft. Reid should retire. You can't lose six straight playoff games at home, no matter your regular season record. They just didn't show up in the second half.
still having a job and being rewarded a playoff game is a bigger reason for the ratings drop in the NFL than any protest or CTE concerns. How is that man not collecting unemployment checks yet?
out was the biggest play of the game. That looked pretty dirty to me.
But Geezus 21-3 and you lose?
I'm not sure how that Kelce play was dirty. It was an unfortunate play but i didnt see anything really dirty about it, he was a runner at that point
It was clearly intentional targeting and leading with the helmet. The defender knew what he was doing. Headhunting.
I dont see it. And there's no helmet to helmet contact penalty on a ball carrier. He didn't launch himself, it was more unfortunate than anythign to me, but guys going to the ground and the helmets collided
The chiefs and Andy Reid... gotta be kidding me! Again!
Andy Reid teams just cannot close teams out in the postseason. His teams have a weird identity there's no denying it. How do you not run hunt more? I was screaming that all 2nd half. Hard to defend Reid today and this coming from one of his defenders. Just a gut punch of a loss yet again for the chiefs. At home to the stupid fucking titans? Inexcusable.
Why, because he threw what would’ve been another red zone pick to himself for a TD? He looked like shit. KC and Alex Smith (same type of QB) looked shittier.
...he is utterly incapable of winning a big game. And this season he choked away a 5-0 start to barely make the playoffs.
No player on that team will have any confidence that they can win it all with Reid. If they keep him next season will be just like the 2003 Giants after the SF debacle.
Andy Reid has lost two playoff games when leading by 18 pts. Â
Why, because he threw what would’ve been another red zone pick to himself for a TD? He looked like shit. KC and Alex Smith (same type of QB) looked shittier.
You're really asking why this was a step forward for a young qb who just led his team back 3 Tds, on the road second half of the NFL postseason? You're a real hoot. Ask titan fans how they feel about their young qb right now? Ask the fans with a clue better yet...
This was a huge moment for the titans. How the fuck can you say the qb played shitty? He just won a playoff game...:. Remember what that feels like?

Agree
Playaction works.
Mcadoo is moron.
This clown has a long highlight reel of ineptitude. Once you get that job, you just can't lose it, I guess?
Win 1 on 1 battles.
Get the ball to playmakers.
Great matchup, by the way lol Kelce is owning them
Either KC or Buffalo.
Won't know until tomorrow.
The throwing conditions that day were abysmal. The wind beat kc. Look at them playing the jets too.
Quote:
We beat the Chiefs and the Titans are getting lit up by them. Covering Kelce would be a good idea.

KC put up a lot of points on the Jets that day.
Colts twice, Bengals, Ravens, Texans, Swept Jaguars twice, Browns
NE won’t play Jax next round, only in AFC Championship game.
Quote:
Did the titans win 9 games?
Colts twice, Bengals, Ravens, Texans, Swept Jaguars twice, Browns
That explains it.
Or am I thinking of someone else?
That pass was a killer
That pass was a killer
He had 13 TDs and 15 Ints this year. He’s a one read mobile shitty QB.
The Giants do have a qb like him, his name is Davis Webb. Same one read qb, without the athleticism and less accuracy.
helmet to helmet.
It also should have been flagged. No justification for going with a head shot.
But this is Tripplette and his crew.

You really don’t like Webb even though he hasn’t been on the field since August. We get it, you don’t think he is going to be good. Give it a break.
If you close your eyes and fast-forward from his draft night to today you would think this guy was a future Hall of Famer.

I loved when Tuck and JPP hoisted him in the air while sacking him.

he was a runner at that point, not a defenseless player, so not sure what you're talking about as far as a penalty
Yep. They have no reason being in the playoffs.
Smith 19/23 at halftime.
Life is good when you can play pitchncatch with your weapons, and D not even within 2 yards so you can have lots of YAC.
Pittsburgh Ravens Raiders Houston
Water and Gatorade containers were tampered with likely a sedative.
that's what I think is going to happen...KC not beating the Pats when it counts. Bad Alex Smith will rear his ugly head.
That was crazy! Good for him for quickly acting to catch the deflection.
they need better QB play and a pass rusher or two

They are the epitome of an average football team.
Yes, that's a good point. A lot of horrible mental mistakes, but most players aren't prepared for this level of play.

That's becoming the new "Jerome Bettis is from Detroit."
If the Titans lose by 2 it will all be on their coach for being so fucking stupid.
:-)
Ours are just Offensive!
I’ll take him if they fire him.
Also Henry was down
Douche chills.
LOL... really?
Agreed. What a douchebag. Losing his voice and his mind!
That...Was fucking pathetic. I'm lost because I don't even know what to compare that to. What the he'll did he even sound like?
Quote:

no thanks
That was awful. Absolutely awful announcing.
I'm glad the Giants didn't hire him!
And there goes Henry for the win.
My brother is a huge Chiefs fan and him and my oldest nephew flew out for the game. They went out for the Steelers game last year too. Brutal
Agree... you let it go and then you can overturn it if needed. The last thing you want to do is blow the whistle if there is a chance that it was a live ball.

But Geezus 21-3 and you lose?
Giants need a mobile QB like him!
Pats get a favorable matchup, yet again.

You may want to call and check on them
Pats get a favorable matchup, yet again.

He's still a loser, just like when he was coaching that total shitbag McNabb!
Wanted Titans to win but shocked they came back and they had a lot of unforced errors.
If Reid stays he's likely gone anyway.
Denver may have Cousins AND Smith to chose from.

not even a flag. The Mariotta block was a thing of beauty. Imagine if Eli threw a block in that situation we would lose our minds
