djstat : 1/9/2018 12:11 am

HomerJones45 : 1/9/2018 12:15 am : link
Otherwise, he can stay in Alabama
NO

arcarsenal : 1/9/2018 12:24 am : link
Not gonna happen.
He's be
kennyd : 1/9/2018 12:31 am : link
completely out of his mind to leave. He makes PLENTY of money and he's a god down there. No way I'd go anywhere if I was him.
Just fucking stop
B in ALB : 1/9/2018 12:36 am : link
Some of you guys are beyond stupid. Mental defectives. Holy shit.
I'll take that punter
Boatie Warrant : 1/9/2018 12:41 am : link
from Bama and the Kicker from Georgia though
This guy is a legend

Nah,
Doomster : 1/9/2018 6:51 am : link
it's the glasses!
So with the Giants,
DonQuixote : 1/9/2018 7:26 am : link
if he gets into trouble in a division game, is he going to just pull out a few new 5-star recruits?

It's a different game and he'd be crazy to mess with something that has made him legendary, and rich.
Reminds me of one of

the Hanson brothers in Slap Shot.

joeinpa : 1/9/2018 8:15 am : link
Thanks you Only mid 60 's coach they should consider Belichick
He wouldn't accept the salary cut
njm : 1/9/2018 8:20 am : link
.
why would he want
PaulBlakeTSU : 1/9/2018 8:25 am : link
to take a massive pay cut to take a job where he loses his enormous competitive advantage, loses his goodwill, and loses his stature?
how many more of these insufferable Saban posts must we see? I can't
Victor in CT : 1/9/2018 9:10 am : link
wait for them to name a HC already. There's a better chance of Lou Saban coming here to coach than nick Saban.
Throwing shit against the wall
JonC : 1/9/2018 9:12 am : link
is annoying, do some homework.
He's not leaving his kingdom in 'Bama.
SFGFNCGiantsFan : 1/9/2018 9:13 am : link
I think he'd succeed in the pros, but he's not coming back. That ship has sailed.
Maybe he'll bring Belichick in as his DC...
an_idol_mind : 1/9/2018 9:15 am : link
and the ghost of Vince Lombardi as his OC.

better still, Lombardi and Landry :-)
He just tied the record for championships
eli4life : 1/9/2018 9:19 am : link
Don’t ya think he wants it to himself?
Saban was a complete mercenary
David B. : 1/9/2018 9:25 am : link
when he was in the NFL. And not particularly successful at the pro level. Why does everyone have such a hard on for him?
not gonna happen
mdc1 : 1/9/2018 9:34 am : link
but it should be known that his systems requires guys to dedicate and have motor and discipline. The NFL is a job and guys half ass it, fake injuries, take off plays. Its conservative, predictable, and a job. Most will do what is needed to collect a paycheck, no big incentive unless you are a superstar with a shoe or shirt contract.
Saban was a mercenary.
Crispino : 1/9/2018 9:47 am : link
He went for the money!? For shame. Like Parcells, and Jimmy Johnson, and Belichick and every other sought after coach. Shocking.

My entire childhood all my dad could say when it came to the Giants was "We had Lombardi and Landry and we end up with Ali F****NG Sherman!"

.

There might be a ring of truth to that, and he also
can now be called the best college coach ever.
It takes cajonnes to bring in a true freshman at QB
in the second half of a National Championship Game.
I don't think people recall just how much Alabama had fallen, before Saban's arrival.
As Chris Fowler mentioned briefly after the game ended, they were a 'laughingstock', and it's true.

He had to deal with a ton of nonsense and little talent in Miami while there. The fact that he had any success with those teams is amazong.
