Why am I not surprised Belichick and the Pats are out in front of the league on this computer software stuff? Belichick probably got the idea from TB12 and his trainer.
you can spew all you want about the genius of Belichek, but at the end of the day, a software program tells him what he needs to do with players.
Data mining is interesting. Take every possible tangible asset that is possible to acquire regarding players with 8-10 major categories, and each category having an equal number of sub-categories. Personality, Football love, Is he close to his mother?, what kind of upbringing?, and on and on and on.....assign each known tangible a rating.......here are also most likely certain tangibles that negate or enhance other tangibles, like he's from a single parent household, but grew up in a rural setting as opposed to an urban setting......anyway, this is the way I've always imagined what their software program is like.

They’re not alone, I’ve seen the Dolphins system in person and it’s mind blowing

Wish I was, but likely headed to the combine so probably couldn't make that work. Is their anyway to pay for the presentation slides?

I got shit on by some Giants fan in a Facebook chat, because I wanted someone analytics and data as the new GM, and that "analytics is meaningless". It's been changing the game for years.

Sometimes they record sessions. I'll keep note of your username in case I see more info. You may want to register with the group in the mean time
What if the Patriots found a way to track the other team's data? That would make deflategate look like child's play.
The NFL has it and quite a bit of it can be used in any data science modeling effort. We would have probably uncovered some interesting insights on some of the wrong choices over the years. Assuming we do not a top notch analytic effort. Data Mining is a basic tool in a more involved analytic effort.
Knew he was a headcase. Maybe not how really bad..And bought the football talent since they are OK with badboys: Dillon,Blount,Floyd...likely a couple I'm missing.

The NFL is already tracking both teams on game with chips in the pads which is where that NextGen stats info comes from. I'll bet the Pats are busy trying to hack into the NFL's system to get that information.
