Sources: The #Panthers are expected to interview Norv Turner for their offensive coordinator position. He’s a top choice to join Ron Rivera’s staff.

Was on Norvs staff when Norv was HC of the Chargers.

Makes sense.
For one of the "great" offensive coordinators,

Turner sure does bounce around a lot.

Much like wade Phillips on the defensive side.
I was worried about this

the sudden change, they had to know that Wilks was looking to add him to his stable so the Panthers made the move and get into the fold before he's gone.
That's very interesting...

NT's passing offense is predicated on timing routes and pinpoint accuracy.

Not sure those are elements that fit well with Cam's skill sets...
Rivera knew he had to move fast

in case Wilks got a HC job
Yeah

Norv Turner and Cam Newton would be an interesting story in terms of working together.

Look at the jobs he’s taken. He’ll work anywhere with any QB.

I'm a Turner fan and certainly know his credentials. Just seems reasonable to be dubious how Newton could fit in.
I’m not sold that his schemes still fit in today’s league

It’s too difficult to protect for QBs now.

He's been in the league for an eternity and always been successful as far as offense is concerned. You don't last that long unless you learn to adjust somewhat to current trends.

I would love Norv Turner here. I said this in another thread, but it would be nice to have an old stable presence that isn't going anywhere unless you fire them (like Gilbride), instead of some young hot shot looking for the next head coaching vacancy.
I've always thought that Norv Turner

would have been the perfect OC for Eli.
About to be official

I know I mentioned it in one of these threads but his son, Scott is joining him. Which is pretty obvious anyway.

Rivera made a quick move because Wilks had him in his sights.

Wilks will end up with Chudzinski or Pep Hamilton. Possibly both.
