Sources say #Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur remains very much in the mix for Arizona, Detroit, New York Giants head coaching jobs. He also interviewed with Chicago, which hired Matt Nagy on Monday.
Give me Shurmur with a good DC and I would be happy.

Sounds like they read our opinions and concerns and then wrote a little piece about him.
Its Wilks then Shurmur for us. Nobody wants McDaniels but maybe the Titans. Lions/Patricia is basically the 9ers/Shanahan situation from last year. Indy wants Wilks. Arizona wants Wilks.
Wilks is the next domino to fall. Thats who everyone is waiting for right now. We'll know Friday. Thursday evening at the earliest.

I'm not so sure about that.
Right now, it seems like they might be purposefully leaking their interest to someone who they cannot even off-the-record directly offer the position to, and who it looks like might be highly desired elsewhere.
Think about it like this. If the Giants really want Patricia and they see the media reports saying that DET wants him and it's basically a done deal, how else are they supposed to get word to him of their interest? If they contact his agent directly they risk trouble, particularly depending on who his agent is and who else the agent is representing. So leak their interest to the media.
Just a complete guess on my part, but I truly believe the NYG front office knows how to strategically leak info they want out there and I'm hoping that's what this is all about.
